You people are obsessed with Eau Sauvage. There’s nothing dated about it. There’s not a hint of oakmoss feared by so many in here. I really think you should sniff Aramis Aramis and some of the creations from Rogue Perfumery where he uses natural oakmoss to understand what does an 80s style fragrance means (I didn’t really loved a single fragrance from his sample set). Fuck, I even find classic Guerlains like Mouchoir de Monsieur or Jicky to skanky and dated, so it’s not like I’m all blind to this notion but can’t really understand what do you find so challenging about Eau Sauvage.

Squidwad pt 2.
>you can move his nose almost a complete 360 degrees
Wore this to work so here’s a review
>notes are green apple, clear musk, persian gum, galbanum, Amber, and green notes
On first spray it just smells like hand sanitizer, this is probably because it has a cheap alcohol base and it combines with the green apple note. On the dry down it becomes more pleasant and not quite as harsh, what I get out of it is green apple and amber more than anything else. Silage is pretty mild, longevity isn’t great it lasts on my skin only 4 hours or so, as for projection, it is barely there it only exists on the appendage you have sprayed on.
>tldr
Only worth it for the head which you can then put on your other snice scents

Realize you have a problem and be responsible. Don’t trade one addiction for another, talk to your family, get support, don’t give up something you love, but do it in a way that isn’t destructive. Maybe put aside 100.00 or whatever amount each month for fragrances, you can spend it all each month, or save it up and buy a few niche bottles a year. Make sure your wife or whoever is able to monitor your spending in this area so she knows if you go over.

It takes discipline, but it is possible to do something in a responsible way like that. The problem is, so many people can’t admit they have an addiction, and if they do, many don’t take steps to try to get better.

Lads, i left to grab a bottle of either YSL La nuit de L'Homme or DG the one, b-but i ended up buying Zadig&Voltaire instead... The sandalwood so just so good for a date fragance that i could not pass it up.

I also got a sample of Terre D'Hermés, a fragance i had smelled on paper before. Now that i have felt it on my skin, i have to correct my previous post at >>14751146 , because it simply outclasses absolu instinct in its purpose.

My point was that AdG Profumo is still a little bit too common, although it is certainly better than the regular AdG. Taking into consideration what I said above, I have to concede that Acqua di Gio Profumo is the most prudent choice of the line as of now.

wearing Tom Ford Oud Wood Intense sample that I got in the mail today
thoughts:
>sprayed on one wrist, rubbed onto the other
>good projection for the last 4 hours
>scent was very strong at first, a 15-minute period that it almost gave me a headache
>after about an hour, a nice leathery-smoky scent came out
>oud is nice, castoreum overpowers it for a while though
>cyprus and angelica are on the edges nicely, develop more after the 3-4 hour mark
>can't catch any of the purported ginger
overall, pretty nice
good performance, good sillage (i'm not one who wants to announce)
not a year-round scent, not even a winter scent desu, a good fall scent imo

Well I tried Versace PH and it just doesn't last on me. Love the Dior but it's only really an autumn/winter scent for me.
Can test out Montale and Serge etc, see how I like them but only if I feel they'd be good scents for special ocassions like weddings or something

I understand that's what it says on fragrantica, but honestly doesn't mean much considering the subjective nature of scents

Maybe if I smelled that dessert before I'd make the gourmand association but I haven't so it doesn't smell gourmand to me

I wouldn’t recommend it. Maybe it’s different if you don’t have associations with from a kid, but I immediately visualize frosted tips and bootcut diesel jeans every time I smell it.

If you’re looking for a mass appealing dumb reach, go for bleu de chanel, just pick which every version appeals to you most.

Buy something that fits your personality first.
If you live somewhere with mild weather, get Prada L'Homme
If it's really hot, get Mugler Cologne or Dior Homme Cologne
Buying statement fragrances like La Nuit or Eros will be a waste of money given that they aren't versatile an you probably wont feel secure wearing them

Other good options are Prada LR Black, Valentino Uomo Intense, Bleu de Chanel, JV Artisan Pure

A fragrance that smells fantastic but is very hard to pull off is a worse fragrance to me than one that smells just good but makes the most out of my money for being very wearable.
I am trying to keep my number of bottles to a minimum, after all
Reliability means that it performs the same in different conditions such as weather

I still don't get it... L'homme has no winter spirit and also fails as a casual frag unless you're a very specific kind of person. It defs has exceptional quality (especially the iris) for its price, but to say it's the best release of the last 5 years is an unbelievable statement to me. I guess I won't be convinced otherwise today. Thanks for engaging me tho

Looking for a new "warm spicy" frag for the fall. I already have Pegasus, Layton, Herod, Spicebomb, Noir Extreme, L'Homme Ideal EDP, JXXV, The One, Jazz Club, By the Fireplace, 1776, HiM, and DHI. I'm looking for something a little more cheeky this time. I was thinking 1 Million Prive/Lucky, or Azzaro Wanted by Night. I've also been hearing Nuit D'Issey Noir Argent hyped lately.
