I have a 200ml bottle and an empty 50ml bottle but i'd like something that smells similar but better (more projection maybe, more complex etc)
I love the smell but I don't want to wear a mainstream frag as hipster as that sounds, fragrances are pretty personal so I don't want to bump into someone who smells the same as I do

The thing I like most about it is the mix of sweetness cut with the dirt and how it strikes that balance between clean (something like chanel blue which is just too strong and too soapy and clinical) and cloying (like sauvage which is overly sweet and heavy) and has a kinda edgy vibe to it

Don't get me wrong, i'm not going to stop wearing it because it's popular or neglect my yuuuuge bottle, I got the biggest bottle possible because I really love it but the next frag I get I want it to be more niche/esoteric just so I can really hunt down something that is unique to me

What do you mean as an upgrade? There are plenty of ways to go from tdh. Orange Bitters by Jo Malone is a classier, smoother version with creamy sandalwood replacing vetiver. Montale's Red Vetiver is a louder and better performing tdh without oranges. Malle's Bigarade concentree (that some suspect was the inspiration for tdh) is a more upscale (and more interesting) take on oranges with the infamous vetiver dirt replaced by hay and grass note. Plenty of ways to go mate.

Bright Neroli this summer. Not gonna rebuy I guess as I grow to perceive it as too feminine over time. Because of it I had to take a break from neroli (and white flowers) whatsoever and resold also my Nicolai's Cap Neroli.

>Not to mention it looks insane to own 10+ full bottles.
I also realized over time that I find having too many bottles quite effeminate. That's why I cut my F/W collection to 6 bottles(from 30+). that covers all occasions and character traits I might want to articulate by adding a layer to my presence. Feels good desu.

Budget?

Popped in to John Lewis today to revisit some designer scents. I must admit that I was very positively surprised with Givenchy Gentleman EdP. It's really good. Vanilla, leather, spices, nice subtle iris.
I also went again over Diptyque booth and must admit that their Eau des Sens is all what I expected from Xerjoff Nio. Very well blended green-citrusy scent, broken nontrivially by bitterness of angelica. If it performs well I might cop it for summer. Gonna come back in spring.
Creed - didn't change my opinion. SMW and GIT are snice, rest is trash for the price.
I tried rest of Zegna's line. Kekked at Bourbon Vanilla as it's really synthetic screeching. Italian Bergamot (and its acqua version) is a routine exercise on bergamot. Florentine Iris is a routine exercise on musky iris, but its acqua version is quite snice if someone is into metrosexual iris.
New Acqua di Parma's ingredient series (in black bottles) is shit

You found what you love, so don't try to convince yourself you don't or that there maybe something better, just enjoy it and buy a few back up bottles to keep you in stock for a while and leave these toxic threads. I'm a sucker for Eau Sauvage Parfum (2017). Tbh it's probably my favorite one out of these 6 (maybe on par with Chypre Palatin). I love how simple it is in terms of ingredients and how all of them work with each other. Is it waxy? Oh yes it is. but it (elemi) gives it the deepness I like about it. This and the clean fougere vibe thanks to lavender, freshness of a citron and the masculine vetiver base is such a beautiful combo. I've got plenty of compliments for wearing it. Including some young (18-21yo) hook ups of mine (I'm 27) and my gf who's like 25. I remember this hot summer when I was wearing Eau Sauvage and cycling to a Cali hottie from a summer school in Cambridge I was casually seeing back then. That was a warm Saturday night that we felt like it belonged to us, and we were both a bit tipsy. Instead of taking a uber I told her to get on my bike and hug me. She was a very outgoing and extroverted girl but when she hugged me sitting on the bike sit she asked me silently 'what am I wearing', I asked 'what do you mean', 'your cologne', 'it's Dior' and she said with a shy voice 'you smell really good' and hugged me stronger while I was cycling not saying anything more. I think I just vibe well with this fragrance.

Two completely different frags. MKK is literally the smell of an armpit of a neanderthal hunter. I think only Zootopian Hyrax was more challenging animalic frag I've tried. Kinda true mate, but if you sniffed couple of hundreds of frags it's not that easy to find something you wouldn't go 'meh' on. I love Norne. It's the only one I got to try. I had initially planned on trying more Slumberhouse but then it exploded in popularity and the implosion made everything unavailable. I'm generally over the house unless I can find some decants at a reasonable price (yeah right). I should have grabbed the sample pack when he opened the online store as for some reason I got the overly optimistic idea that he would make things available regularly again
>>14733525
You can find more by searching, but the short is that some guy with serious problems somehow makes insanely good fragrances. A mixture of the fragrance community hyping them up and the unreliability of the owner made a severely limited quantity and exorbitant prices by resellers which has turned me off the house

Absolutely. I made the mistake of getting hyped by DHI and Parfum and their rarity that I blind bought both bottles. Hadn't even smelled DH original. DHI was nice but far, far too much iris, and Parfum was cloying as all shit and just generally a waxy powder bomb with smoke that just mashed together sloppily and came off cheap later in the day. I was at Sephora some few months later and tried the original and walked around the mall some and holy shit it was perfect. Blended so well, and with just enough subtle touches of it's flankers that I literally went back and bought a bottle retail. To me, It's Dior's masterpiece and it's flankers can't touch it. On the hunt for a vintage bottle atm.
