That's mostly pollen on the shoes. I care for them a lot. I took this picture during a hike where I had no shoe care products with me obviously. I use red wings all natural on them and tar if necessary. Also Finnish forest floor has a lot of small sticks and what not that will make them look like that in one day.

For me these are not /fa/ boots at all. Yes I do think they look good but that's not why I have them. I have them because they're comfortable and very good to use. I don't get any pains wearing them no matter how much I walk or work. I wear them when I work on my summer cottage or go hiking. They're are workboots for me.

I have wide feet and claw toes. This causes problems in sizing especially with my little toes because they tend to rub against the side when everything else fits. Any advice? Thinking of saving for White's because they do custom fits and I might need that due to my fugly ass feet.

I always liked the color of those but I never found a size that fit me right. The last chippewa uses is fucking retarded I swear. I ended up returning them and getting iron rangers instead. The 10.5D fits like a fucking glove and they have been the most comfortable boots or shoes of any kind I've owned. That being said, I'm saving up to order a pair of White's MPs. I feel that. These are an 8.5 and fit good enough for what it is, but they do seem pretty wide. I could probably size down and still be fine width wise, but the length is bonkers. Could maybe go down one half size, but oh well.

I still love my pair though I got them under 200 and I think they handle the shit weather a bit better than IRs here in Colorado. I do like IRs though but I'd probably look pretty gay since I am skinny

It's called a kiltie- and there's a purpose.

When you have laces on boots like this that are supposed to be worn by people actually doing work, the laces will pick up damp muddy muck and garbage that's abrasive and could wear through the leather at that point. So, they put that little extra part there to protect the boot and make sure they last.
