I don't really care. I go to an ancient Oxbridge college and trust me no one around dresses here like what this thread praises. Going full trad/ivy/prep is akin to larpers here, who aspire to transcend their (lower) middle class background. However, they don't realize that it doesn't take much to see through it.

You need to find another way of taking pictures. It's difficult to assess the fit of someone who is using wide angle and a mirror half a metre away. I tried with another mirror I have at the bedroom (lightning is shit at this hour I know), I have to take the photo from farther away so shoes and shirt can be seen completely, but at least the angle is not so massive and doesnt distort so much. In other pics my upper body seems fat and now my legs appear with better proportion and with a length that matches better leg lenght (like OPs pic)

Do you think this way is better?

So from what I gathered from reading some of the links, if I wanted to go Italian style trad, my suit jacket would be shoulder pad-less, and instead of a three piece suit i'd wear solid khakis and typically dress in a more painful, bold style in terms of colour, and typically have toasted brown, eye catching shoes with minimal broguing.

Can a version of this but with more saturated dark earthy browns, green and grays work, or will the combination of the reduced formality of the italian trad style not work well with the lack of the bold colours and sprezzatura that come with it?

Much better. Your fit is fairly solid but you need to work on your trousers. Seems like everything you wear is really low rise which really doesn't flatter your proportions. If you look a the thumbnail of the picture you posted you can get a good idea of how dodgy the proportions look. You need trousers with a higher rise and maybe a bit less slim fit so they actually drape/fall a little instead of clinging to your legs.

Hardly anything around is mid or high rise, so I go for low-rise, I would get bigger rises because I prefer them, but many times I only see them on wider pants that dont fit well on me

>slim fit
I like it and is the fit that goes better with my ass shape, I was told that by some girl, and from my mother too :) With regular fit sometimes it gets a bit baggy under my bottom (back area of legs)

>Hardly anything around is mid or high rise,
You want to look good or what? If the higher rise pants don't fit, get them tailored. Assuming you're based in the states, you should have options.

Here are my recommendations for higher rise pants in Europe.
Uniqlo 'vintage'. I've got some light green trousers that I love. Perfect mid rise and straight cut.
Natalino. Legit high rise trousers. Sits on hips so these won't fall down. A bit slimfit though. My favourite flannels/cords.
Cordings. Fit varies immensely between different trousers. You've got to try these on in person. I have some chinos which are all mid rise with a taper. They also do cords/flannels but I haven't tried them yet.
Scavini. French brand I know (I live in Paris). Pretty nice quality. Select s3 (1 pleat) for the higher rise. Everything else is low rise french cuck core.
Ralph Lauren Polo: some nice chinos which are mid rise. Buy on sale.
Yoox. Loads of brands on here. I have some trousers and a pair of flannels from 'zanella[' although I'm keen to try others.
>>14648937
I like the idea (casual shoes you can wear with chinos that aren't penny loafers) but I've never managed to make them work with a fit. Please post a fit where they look good.

Spain

Of all the stuff you said PRL is the most accessible one for me, I have a salmon chinos from them but they are also low rise. I love cordings but they dont match my body type, they feel way to baggy in the back part for me.

>Please post a fit where they look good.
I mainly see them with jeans and a OCBD around, its nothing really good usually.

>Also where do I buy a turquoise blue cable knit wool jumper like in the OP? (europe)
I posted this morning examples of a green one at the beginning of the thread, the same manufacturers I listed had blue ones, I dont know if they are the shade you are looking for.

Exactly. Sinatra dressed typically Hollywood and/or "classy Italian-American" which is more toned down than just the Italian equivalent, but much more flash than prep (prep is loud but in a different way, more playful and less vulgar). He dressed like a classy musician and that's entirely appropriate for him, but it's not the same as dressing like a patron. I guess his fits might belong in the traditional umbrella now by virtue of being old and suit-based, but people mostly mean "English trad" and it isn't that either.

>Cordings. Fit varies immensely between different trousers. You've got to try these on in person. I have some chinos which are all mid rise with a taper. They also do cords/flannels but I haven't tried them yet.

These are my favourite chinos. They are a "true" mid-rise, sitting just over my hips.

They're not overly baggy, but fit and even some details like no. of buttons vary, annoyingly.

The fit itself is fairly trim, I wouldn't say there's a huge taper but they're perfect if you want to transition out of cuckcore slim fit but fear the boomer drape.

The only downside is that they're dry clean only, which is a bit precious for chinos. I machine wash them cold and have encountered only slight shrinking thus far.

I should have mentioned, compared to MKI the SWC one fits very large - I'm about 6'3", 38"-40" and the small still fits slightly loose on me. It's a very 'traditional' fit with very wide arms etc. In contrast the MKI is rather more 'modern', with slimmer arms/body. For me a medium in that is just about right (even a little on the tight side), so I'd say it fits roughly tts . This faggot sitting has a rowing blazer from my college's boat club. I've been rowing for 3 years and know most of the alumni from past 3+ years, and for sure I can say that he never went to Cambridge let alone rowed for my college. Judging from the vest and the tie he is one of these faggots who collect club/college/regimental stash from places they would never get into. Typically, you must at varsity or at least be the first college boat in bumps to get social approval for buying and wearing this blazer. It takes massive dedication of waking up all year round at 6am just to cycle to the boat club and train often in rain or snow on the river, and then you have these faggots who just go to AE Clothier or Ryder & Aimes and pretend to be rowers. Sorry for British autistic screeching but lot of us put a lot of work and heart to eventually be able to wear this kind of clothing with pride and such faggots depreciating their value make me furious.

Cop, those look good. I own a pair of slim fit corduroys from Massimo Dutti in a different colour and they are fine. If you want to know how slim they are, they are the same as the PRL ones shown here >>14653276

I moved them a bit at the bottom so you can see that salmon pants are below

The leather smells to leather and its soft when you touch it. Its clearly not top tier leather, but for 180€ it cost its quite decent.

I could go to any thrift store for you and get you a blue cotton one for like 15 cuckbucks. As long as you don't mind it probably having been worn by some carpenter for 40 years. Otherwise I'd recommend 'a days march'. Great midrange stuff that's worth every penny imo

I'm hesitating to buy this sleeveless pullover. I'm not fat but since I workout I'm afraid I'll look rediculous. Looks so practical though since I wear a blazer 5 days a week. Thoughts?

Rowers are faggots though who wish they were insane chads like the rugger boys. You're not as bad as the lacrosse guys though. Posting sweaters since the other thread was ruined by anons posting 'fashion' sweaters.

Well you can still be a fat slob with skinny legs. I see them all the time in Shoreditch. Anyway I tried those trousers today and they were way too skinny for tip. I've got regular legs that's why I'm saying that.

It is what worries me too. They are not skinny and overall look like the trousers >>14657160 quoted, but the drape is rather minute. I think i am going to cop, but only because these are in a darker colour and this will be less noticeable. If these were a tan pair of pants, it would be a deal-breaker.
>>14657145
It is called a "whale", i think. They are nice, although a genoa back and a regular fit would be better. Don't think i can get those for under €100, though.

Added them on Guernsey Jumper category, the ones from the link you said are just shetland sweaters, not brushed. For the moment that sweater list is only for:
fair isle sweaters
sanquhar sweaters
guernsey sweaters
norwegian fishermen sweaters
shaggy/brushed sweaters

Should I expand it with other kinds of sweaters? ideas?

Wouldn't say they are Guernsey sweaters. Theyre much more like Shetland in construction, weave and collar. Also, I don't see why we are excluding non brushed Shetlands...
