Your experience is not new. Most people have been echoing what you've been saying for awhile. Even worse is that the sales staff have no idea what they're doing. You can find plenty of comments where menswear is more widely discussed about how uneducated brooks brothers staff is now. even with simple things like "where are your made in america ocbd shirts?" and they say "all our ocbd shirts are made in america" when in fact the store is filled with malaysian bullshit at a higher price point.

Yep, in summer months there is little variety possible.
Tops: polo shirts, shirts and maybe some tshirts
Bottoms: chinos, shorts
Shoes: boat shoes, loafers camp mocs or sneakers

In fall we can start wearing sweaters, coats, jackets, corduroys, moleskins, boots, thicker loafers...

You get me. I feel like I'd be better off showing up in my ugly sneakers, sweatpants, and a t-shirt than tradding up and spooking everybody. I remember one talk where they'd brought in a former ambassador and the guy in front of me was just picking away at his nose like he was digging for gold in an ore mine by crashing trucks against the walls. Don't know if the ambassador noticed.
I don't know if it counts as trad or future trad but a lot of the Korean international students were regularly the most fashionable dudes on campus, and they had this turtleneck/brazer thing going on that I kinda dig. He is basically saying start lifting weights. I actually have a similar build as you do. We both need to hit the gym and even out our upper bodies to our lower. I also cycle 2-3 times a week and it will definitely make you very bottom heavy. My brother only cycled for a year and had some crazy proportions from it. Took him a year to even out in the gym.
Other bits:

clearly by the wrinkles, this doesn't have the drape of a nice jacket, i would recommend something with a better wool texture, this is very business bro. The shoulders look a tad long but the sleeves definitely too long. Anons here say this is black but I could see it being a dark dark navy, although a pop of bluish hue would look better. I don't know how you feel about the gold buttons, but that would plant it firmly as a navy blazer. Don't worry about sack jackets and 3/2 button rolls if you're just looking to get the simple look.

It isn't terrible but the spread collar is more italian style so if you're set on the dress shirt, go with something more semi-spread or point. If you're really going for ivy look, If you'd want to look more ivy or prep, I'd recommend a button down collar but $$ for that collar roll meme. Either way a white poplin or broadcloth (100% cotton--no polyester) white dress shirt could work regardless.
>tie
What is fucking the shirt up and making the collar hover (see the shadow) and look odd is actually the giant fucking tie knot. learn to tie a 4-in-hand or at least pull a half-windsor really tight because that giant knot only really looks good with power tailoring (think double breasted, pinstripes, italian fag). Also tie it with the dimple. The tie isn't that bad, it does seem like a cheap 'silk' from a department store but something in that color is a good move for navy blazer and khakis.
>pants
The pants look fine, perhaps iron them and recrease the pant, They seem tight in a few areas.
>shoes
look good, I personally like a slightly darker brown when wearing khaki but those will work.
>blackness
nothing you can do here, if you're on the chans i know you're not bothered. just make sure you shave the kevin hart goatee and have a proper haircut that isn't remotely black trendy (short dreads or anything else associated with urbanity. Go with the 60s black man haircut like that era miles davis or mlk.

while yes, navy would be easier to wear, that brown sweater is pretty nice color too. navy works with rich browns always, olive for a bit of a british country side along with tweeds and wool patterns. You could even wear tan pants if you didn't mind some 60s/70s connotations. i.e. pair the brown sweater with tan pants and chocolate suede chukkas or mocs for a bit of a autumn ivy look. especially a wool flannel navy blazer

From https://www.healthline.com/health/how-long-does-it-take-to-lose-muscle-mass :

Like athletes, you can take about three weeks off without seeing a noticeable drop in your muscle strength, according to a 2012 study. You shouldn’t take off longer than that if you can avoid it, though. Nonathletes are more likely than athletes to lose their progress during periods of inactivity.

From https://builtwithscience.com/how-long-does-it-take-to-lose-muscle/ :
For example, one 2013 literature review found that:
You can lose up to a kilogram of lean body mass in just a week when you’re fully immobilized.
And even when you’re not fully immobilized, research has shown an 11% decrease in type II muscle size in trained subjects after just 10 days of no exercise!
BUT – before you freak out – it’s important to note that this decrease in size is for the most part not due to actual muscle loss…. It’s instead due to a drop in glycogen levels and water stores within your muscle.

At 2 months it was very clear that I was losing mass.

the best would be more of a tan, british khaki color (pic). the whitish pant would look good with the above for a neutral look but maybe look less ivy/prep, and more riviera. a cricket or cream tennis sweater with the whiter pants would be nice. It's less formal than a suit jacket or a navy blazer, but it's still fairly formal. Its certainly not the "least formal jacket you can wear" unless you're an English nobleman in the 1800s. I used to think that I wasn't getting shit done because of 4chan so I stopped visiting for like a year. Then I realised the problem wasn't 4chan but my own lazy ass. Thanks for reading my blog.

Pilot's watch isn't outdoorsy, but with the green at least you can pretend it's an Alpinist if you squint

Are rolexes prep? My grandpa died (RIP) and left me one but my aunt tried to dispute the will and claimed it should go to her. Executor is working on that one. Or should I not count my inheritance before it hatches?

>> No.14624829

>>14624823
Rolex are definitely prep, unless it has diamonds or something on it, which would be tacky.

BB has some nice cable knits this season. They're supima so more affordable than cashmere.
