Nothing really, to be quite honest. Too swamp with work to do anything more than yoga for physical exercise at home. Work is physical labor (mostly cardio) anyways, so it's not like I can give myself more than a few moments rest during shifts to be lazy. I am taking Keto BHB capsules currently, mostly drink either water/coffee/half&half unsweet and green tea (maybe a soda every other day), food is quite light (mostly chicken for protein), and although at the moment I haven't been keeping too specific of track of calorie count, my range lately has been between 200-900 the past month or so. Give another 200 calorie for one or two binge nights (I prefer to over estimate just incase).
Any suggestions to break this plateau? Hard enough for me at my height to get to where I'm at now but still wanna go lower.

this thread seems majority anachan but has anyone here dealt with bulimia at all? i've been trying to "recover" for a while now and i keep relapsing and it's exhausting but hard to break when it basically consumed the past third of my life. it's the only secret of mine that I haven't told anyone ever and i feel fucking trapped and alone. sucks that my dumbass didn't just restrict all this time because i don't even care about bmi/ number bullshit, just wanted to maintain when i was at a manageable ideal a year ago (5'1 100-105) but instead of stopping while i was ahead i blew my metabolism forever and have weak gross baby teeth that i'm extremely embarrassed of (at least i still have them i guess lmao) literally the only good thing is that my face doesn't swell or puff up anymore, no one notices my teeth but me and my dentist, and my body proportions don't suck for the most part.

sorry just needed to rant somewhere, if no one here can relate or whatever then take my sad little life as a cautionary tale. if vomiting comes natural/ easy to you like it did for me, STOP and never look back because it's not worth it. if it seems too good to be true it is. just exercise more and eat less/ healthier

also body dysmorphia is one hell of a drug, i want to say that you all look fucking amazing but i know u won't believe me because i've been there too. try 2 stay safe and hydrated etc etc

i can hold a certain kind of respect for other people who have only ever restricted, because the restriction, delusional and stupid as it is, kind of represents an inner strength and force of will to me. bulimics just do gross disgusting shit and waste food, so besides being bloated or looking ugly, they seem spiritually gross too.

anyways, body dysmorphia is not a rigid quality of your character or personality, and something that can grow weaker or stronger based on its use as a mental defense mechanism.
psychedelics are good at robbing you of your ego defenses, including self-harming negative things you use to protect yourself from something uncomfortable about your life.
i suspect most of the actively ana types aren't emotionally stable enough to get good benefits out of therapeutic hallucinogen use without someone else to support them through it.
you can get better, but getting better means you need to address your personal fucked up life experiences too, and i think a lot of the dumb baby anas in here are still in life phases where they *want* to be shamed and relish in hurting themselves.

lol i completely get that it's gross to most ppl if you've never been there before, i'm pretty self-aware about it now. especially the amount of denial and mental illness it takes to stay sick for a fuckin decade (i used to go back and forth so much that i considered myself more ednos than anything else for a while). i've actually heard before about mushrooms being a potential cure for most of the shit i struggle with, ego death and all that, i'm super interested in trying them at least once to see what it does for depression etc. (also gonna start therapy soon)

but yeah i more or less agree with u entirely. bulimia is a huge guilt/shame burden because you feel like gluttony personified but as this weird gross weak inner secret side of u no one else sees. my b/p tendencies have gone down like 90% (only once in a while as opposed to every fucking day a couple years ago) so i'm almost free of it, genuinely just think I grew up and out of this mindset. a lot of anas here strike me as fairly young and i feel like in my early 20's my brain has finally developed into a more adult mindset, or maybe it was the shift into having more important responsibilities/ goals than weight and bmi and body checks

psychedelics do take down your mental barriers, but that's not the same thing as not having an ego at all or something.
if you're seriously repressed and have never been wholly engrossed in the experience of being alive, it might seem like something really fancy or mystical though.
mushrooms would be a good idea but especially in concert with talk therapy. dont fall for the 'antidepressant' spook, they do not perform better than talk therapy and 'technically kinda maybe' work better than placebo + talk therapy.
better to be completely sober for a few months and try psychedelics in isolation of any other mind affecting substance or possible drug combination.
cooking your own meals, pursuing some form of expressive creative activity, and exercising all supplant the role of pharmaceuticals, and leave you feeling more complete and self-reliant as they produce the same effects that make you feel damaged and dependent to a pill.
