There isnt a perfect fit. It will all depend on how you want it and the shape of your bode. You can go for slim fit if you are thin and if not for regular fit. You have here some pics of decently fitting ones:

Personally I think it's fine yeah, if you're not gonna take off the sweater.

But honestly, shirts can be tailored. Might end up being more expensive than the cost of the shirt, depending on the alteration and the shirt you got in the first place, but it can definitely be worth it.

Who said perfect fit? Well-fitting is what was written, also not models or posed photos. You linked the styleforum imgur that has been going around for half a decade and runs the entire gamut from sexcore tight to gangster rap baggy.

I would like to see photos of OCBD's worn in natural settings, not staged. You recommend slim fit for thin and regular for not. What does that look like when worn casually without the photographer/company in mind? Action shots, if you will.

Here's my advice. Go to a shop and take a tape-measure with you. Try on some shirts and measure the shirt you like best. It's really up to personal preference how you like your shirt but I generally like some baggyness with an oxford. It's something to slouch in. If you feel it's at all tight against your skin, that's a nono. You also want it to be long, like 80 at least, so that you can actually tuck the thing in.

reposting this last thread died as i posted it, what are your thoughts on Suede. Can it be used formally , how do you wear Suede etc.

Some thoughts on "Sueding" Footwear as it pertains to Design Choice Implications, and "Style/Social Cue Ramifications"

=====+ The process of "Sueding" the shoe, literally involves the tearing of the flesh's outer surface, to reveal the inner flesh of the hide.

=====+ Implications:
> The Designer is basically "ripping" the flesh down to its absolute insides. Suede is "for all to see", it is both luxurious, and endearing, but maybe slightly vulnerable.
>It will never be "lustrousy" and shiney, like a standard "Leather" Design can be.
>It implies "bare-bones", minimalism
>It's saying "Here, this is Suede, this is the Hide I chose, and this is the colour I chose."

=========+ Conclusions:
>Does this mean it cannot be "formalized"?
No, of course not.
>Does this mean it is inherently "Limiting"?
Well, Yes! That is due to its intrinsic "Minimalism".

=========+ Ramifications:
>What does this "say" to Society when I wear Suede?

I just realised how awful the OP's pic is. The first guy looks fine if not annoyingly slim fit with a european-style jacket (padded shoulders?). The middle picture looks all smug and European as fuck but not the least bit /trad/. That stubbly nonsense needs to go, as well as the peaked lapel blazer (with its short hem and its DOUBLE VENTS) Also his trousers are super low-rise which always looks terrible but especially when combined with the open style of hem you have here a you can see the shirt peeking out like a little blue erection. The far right is borderline sex-core with that stupid trimmed beard and the tight as fuck EVERYTHING.

Look at his home. The art, the furniture, the plants, the arrangement. It screams Rich Techie but has no actual originality or soul to it.
Same for his clothes. He buys Drake's catalog and admittedly looks pretty good sometimes but a lot of the time he appears unnatural. It's like he's trying too hard to project a certain image, one that he himself isn't sure of but hopes others will be convinced by.

Personally I've already graduated University 10 years ago. My mom was a high public servant for over 30 years. My parents were never filthy rich but I've never had to worry about a job or anything, or affording nice clothes and all the other stuff. I'm sure some guys in here have gone to legit prep schools when they were younger, some of my friends did, my parents never really put that as a priority, but they couldve afforded it. They put me in Public School, which i believe actually used to mean something prestigious at least decades ago in England. It used to be that if your parents were somehow connected to the State, that you got privileges, but today it's not like that. Public school today means basically a lot worse education than you would get at a private school with private tutors and global exchange classes.

For me Prep is a style, it's not really even one I chose, it just is what suits me. It's what people "want" me to be, based on my physiology and demeanour etc. I've learned this over time, and trying to be a rebel or a "thug" trying to fit in to lower class friends and people, it just doesn't work, but it's not even about money, it's a mentality. The rest is upbringing.

Will I send my own child to prep school? Probably.

honestly I noticed no difference between the two when it came to sleeve length. one thing to keep in mind is the ashby has pre-cuffed corduroy while the Beaufort is flat. I cuff the Beaufort still, and like my sleeves short like above my wrist bone. uncuffed id say Beaufort is fine. what's your height/weight? I read a lot of reviews for the jackets before buying and heard many people say the sleeves were too short for them, which is odd because I didn't have that experience at all with two jackets even. I'm pretty sure it was taller bigger dudes that had problems with the sleeve length. if you are an orangutan, get the ashby - the pre cuffed corduroy sleeves could be unrolled. however I kid you not, I couldn't even wear a thin sweatshirt under the ashby without being serious uncomfortable and unable to lift my arms parallel to the ground. im 5'8 130 ish

>> No.14526013

>>14523470
I forgot to mention another difference is the stitching of the shoulders. the Beaufort I think the seam is like a raglan while the ashby I think the seam is right on top your shoulders. for detail minded people like me this was annoying because the shoulders are usually the first place the waxing wears out, and its a concession by the manufacturer probably due to cost cutting rather than making something the right way - raglan shoulders are a flat surface vs the seamed ashby. which one is more likely to have water get through?

this is entirely splitting cunt hairs of difference but just another little detail I noticed when I had both and was trying to figure out how the two jackets are night and day different and what Barbour did differently between the two. also the ashby had shinier brass buttons while the Beaufort had matte black buttons which I liked more - less contrast and they grabbed the eye less.
