TL;DR: you need a new shirt, pants need hemmed a bit, shoes are good.

If you're feeling adventurous, I would recommend hemming the pants yourself. It doesn't take a hugely long time, and the barrier for entry is like... $5. It's an interesting experience, and it's better than paying a tailor like $15 for the same thing. Or ask your mom to do it, I guess.

I think oversizing heavily depends on the material. flannels, hoodies, and sweaters are some good candidates for being oversized. However, imo the cotton/polyester(?) looking material of that shirt is not great for that kind of look. It reads less "softboy" or w/e and more "I'm a druggie with a court date today and I didn't own a shirt with buttons five minutes ago".

Personally, I think a good idea is to probably stick to well fitted clothes so you can learn how everything "normally" looks, then move on to more interesting stuff like oversized tops and highly cropped pants, or whatever weirdness you find cool.

I also think the jeans need to be hemmed for them to be properly wearable. I'm not sure they'll fit anywhere very well until they're hemmed. And now that i'm looking at this again at a reasonable time of day, I sort of agree with >>14514375 's sentiments about tucking you pants behind your shoe's tongues, and to a less extent, the color of the pants. I think that color is still usable, but not as good as black/indigo/lightwash.

I do dress generic. Trust me, I used to be very experimental with how I dressed in high school and college. Girls didn’t mind then, but I mainly hooked up with hipster girls. But now at my age, women do care. They don’t want a man that dresses like a teenager. But my point is looking back, I def could have pulled more girls wearing what I do now than what I did. Especially the hotter sorority girls who are more picky. When you dress a certain way, you sort of limit yourself, because a girl may find you cute, but doesn’t like your weird style you took inspo from on fa. But if you dress more generic, you prob could have fucked/dated that girl. Maybe I’m just coping, I’m average looking at best face wise, but from my own experience, girls like guys that play it safe with how they dress, because they don’t have to worry about their friends judging their boyfriend/guy they’re seeing.
