Like all hairstyles, the effects of this are dependent on your head shape. You like Brad's hairstyle here because he has a longer skull with a really wide lower-third. The longer "curtains" can dangle freely and it won't look overbearing because of his head length and proportionate jaw. Basically, his stronger facial features are far enough from his hair to stand out on their own, if that makes sense. If your head is too wide, too square or your jaw is too narrow, the lack of volume on top will fuck your shit up. You'll look like El PeruANO. The curtains will frame your forehead because that's where all the volume is, bringing attention to it and because there is nothing of length in the sides, your ears will stick out. Overall, that makes your head look even wider and kinda babyish.
