I know this is a generic question, but I don't normaly hang around /fa/ and I just want an objective solution. I have shoulder length hair and look good with it, get compliments on it with relative frequency. I want to do jiu jitsu though and I know it'll get in the way, so I'm thinking of cutting it. My hair is very long and on the thicker side. I wash it every other day-every 3 days with just a shampoo bar from Lush (it lasts longer). Brush/comb it when wet. I shower at night and since I don’t want hair in my face while sleeping I will put it in 1 or 2 braids at night and sleep like that. I won’t brush it until I’m about to wash it again (sometimes this is bad). The braids make it very wavy, if I wash it and let it air dry then it will have a slight wave to it.

I do not blow dry it or use heat on it, maybe twice in the last 6months. I trim it myself since it’s long and I probably save a lot of money that way.

Anyone have shampoos and lightweight conditioner recommendations for someone who has fine, wavy (sometimes curly) hair? I'm sick of my hair frizzing and either curling into unending loops or poofing into a giant ball of frizz.

I've never really had a haircut since I decided to grow my hair long, I just cut a couple cm off when it starts to reach my ass
Now I've decided to get a proper haircut and add some flavor to it. I specially dislike how "full" it looks when it's tied. I still want to keep it long, but I wouldn't mind cutting a lil more than a couple centimeters. What could I do to style it?

The red hair ball has henna on it, the middle hair ball is my hair now, and the last hair ball is my real black hair color. The two images depict my hair as it is now in artificial lighting and sunlight.

I bleached it to get red hair, so having it look blond annoys me. Do you think it looks more like red hair after the henna?

I'm not a hippie, I just want to use henna because it doesn't harm the hair - but I'm willing to use artificial dyes. Can anyone suggest a cheap ($10 or less) hair dye, or is the henna good enough?

I don't have the money, lol. I can spend $10/month or so for dye - I currently spend $0.87/month on a bottle of hydrogen peroxide.

Also, I bleached my hair to that color with 3% peroxide, so I feel confident to dye it as well. Also, I've been doing this for months, and that image is after, like, 3 different times I bleached *just* the roots.
