It does not matter at all what you wear in the office. Even if it's the gaudiest piece of shit, nobody cares as long as you don't have to talk to clients.
If you are serving tables in a posh restaurant you will get told by your supervisor if your watch is not up with the dress code. In an expensive restaurant you should rather wear a dress watch. Brand won't matter, just traditional dress watch with leather strap in a matching color or black.

In a cheaper food place, nobody will give a shit anyway. I've seen waiters wearing g shoks and steel watches and it never looked out of place.

I have a casio MQ 24 for about 5 years. The strap is even slightly thinner than the one f91w one. I have worn this watch regularly: workouts, parties, working on the car and general daily stuff. The band is not even cracked.

Well there are a few aspects of the design, not every single one of them has to be followed of course. Relatively small (below 40mm), simple dial, thin, sometimes a 2 hander, on a leather strap, classic case design, etc. Pic related is a quintessential example.

The masterlist is simple, the first being a Speedy 145.012. Probably by the end of the year if I find the right specimen. Beyond this, I'm not sure.

I had a rather disheartening realization this past weekend. In the past week, I've glanced at the watch on my wrist a total of 3 times, and I remember each time. I don't notice it at work, I don't enjoy it when I'm driving to work, and when I get home I'm tired enough that I usually eat something and go straight to bed.

A new watch...well....I just don't think it'll get the love it should, or at least, I won't have the time to enjoy it the way it might deserve. So, a large collection is pretty much out of the question for me, because even if I were to rotate them on a daily basis, I find that I just wouldn't look at them enough to enjoy them. So...things have changed.

But, given how flexible and admittedly turbulent my emotions have been lately, I may change my mind again on this. If I were to continue, the next on the masterlist would likely be a Rolex Day-Date.

What about you? What's next for you after the JLC?

Sorry to hear that anon, maybe it just comes down to finding the perfect one? I find that if I visit my AD a few times over the course of a month or two and a particular watch keeps grabbing my eye it's probably a worthwhile buy.

I already have a two-tone Yacht-Master (gets hate here but looks beautiful in natural light), so I'm currently deciding between the Royal Oak (15450) or the VC FiftySix Selfwinding (Blue Dial). Leaning towards the AP

It's okay Anon...it's not a bad thing really, it's just a feeling that I've come to over the past few months. To be honest, I've always wanted the Speedy, so that would never be a regret or anything. It's just...lately material goods in general have lost their lustre. I'm not drawn to buying things the way I was when I was younger, and at this point the Seamaster does the job perfectly day in day out. Another watch is just...another watch, if that makes any sense.

It's not that watches don't sing to me anymore...the new Day-Date absolutely does, it's fucking beautiful. But the reality of daily life always returns to my mind, and I can't help but think that if these days I only wear my Seamaster and almost never wear any of my other watches....well, another watch is just going to be sitting 'until the weekend'...you know what I mean? I don't know...I'll probably change my mind tomorrow. But the Port does bring out some honesty in my feelings. In other words, if I had 10 watches...I have a gut feeling that I'd always reach for my Seamaster first thing in the morning.

Nothing wrong with a Yacht-Master! I think people here just shit on Rolex because it's easy to shit on. Considering that many watchmakers swear by Rolex in terms of their ease of service, the reliability and functionality of the parts and internal design, etc....I don't really have a problem with them, though I may have the one or two aesthetic problems with a few of their models.

I can understand leaning towards the Royal Oak...it's iconic. I don't know...if it were me, I'd ask myself, 'what do I not have in the collection that can do something different than the others?'.

I'm not going to tell you what you should do with your money.
Those in your pic related are really bad fakes, look at that cyclops, the omega logo looks huge and off. They look really fake.
I've never bought a fake watch, but I bet that you can find better fakes than those.
Personally, I think that you can buy an original design watch in every price range. Of course if you're into grand complications pateks you need a lot of money, but for a simple watch you can get anything at every price range.
If you want watch just to signal wealth, buy a fake. You'll probably impress people that don't know nothing about watches. But when someone that knows something about watches will instantly see that those are fake(based on your pic related) and of course if you're poor, if you walk around with a Rolex, Ap, PP etc.. Everybody will assume that is fake, you can't afford one. The same thing as when you see a woman walking around with a lv or hermes bag, everybody assumes that is fake.
