The funny thing about mechanical watches, is despite quartz watches being more accurate in principle, a good mechanical watch is likely to be the more accurate watch on your wrist. Just because you will likely make a habit of checking the watch more often, pulling the crown out every three days to lose the 5-6 seconds you gained.

Quartz, you will just set and forget, not correcting the time over years until you are minutes out.

I can agree with the HE valve looking out of place, but it gives it a quirk i suppose which is nice, and to be honest i forget about it.

THE thing that stood out for me was the dial. The way that dial plays with the light at different angles is incredible to see in person, and having previously overlooked the SMP 300 due to it looking a little dated in my opinion, it was surprising to find myself at the AD trying it on and liking it so much i bought it on the spot.

The little changes on this model bring it up to date really nicely, and having seen Rolex previously as the only brand to go to, i look at my Sub now and realise how boring it looks compared to the Omega.

The only gripe i have with it is the bracelet, a taper to 16mm like the Oyster bracelet would make it so much more wearable.

So if that thing has the same materials used like the longines and a similar style (there are 12;6 dial casios, not sure if there are any 12;6;3 dials). Then yes, the longines is not much better. I've tried both watches on multiple times. The Bulgari feels too thin and flat. It's quite broad too so it doesn't seem to wear like a normal watch.

The Zenith is almost perfect but the movement jingles when you shake the watch. Not sure if it would bug you. My Aquanaut rotor drove me nuts. Both great watches. Almost pulled the trigger on the Zenith but my AD called me about a BLNR out of the blue.

My Seamaster is running slow and I'd like to adjust the regulator screw. It's the 1120 cal. However, I've no experience with watch servicing at all and I'm terrified I'll fuck up the movement. Is it a good idea to attempt this?

I do have the tools required to open the case, and the regulating lever seems accessible without taking the movement apart.

There are good reasons why JLC wouldn't place a high priority on getting a lengthy power reserve on their entry level Master series watches. The main one being that those movements are all fairly thin, and longer power reserves require heftier mainsprings which are bulkier, and tend to have more torque across their operating range, and thus require the gear train to be sturdier. Solving those issues would cost money or bulk or both.
