There's literally nothing wrong woth that. Obviously if you get a pinstriped hat it better be navy and white, but a blacket out team hat is absolutely fine if you want to be subtle. That said my team hat is bright fucking red, my black hat is just a hat.

I want to wear caps but feel weird doing it. Should I just stick with it?

You're not used to seeing yourself in a hat is all, maybe your hat of choice doesn't suit your face. I look like shit in a hat if I haven't shaved or if my hair is pretty late in between haircuts.I like wearing hats backwars and I find snap backs look better, I don't like fitted/stretch hats too much but they have their place.
