Wait awhile. Getting a tattoo gives you a high and you want more and more fast. Give that feeling time to fade before getting another.

>Local studio doing new T-shirts
>Go down to get one and chat with the artist there I've been friends with for years
>Proper buff lad (Carpenter, football etc etc) really suffering with work on his back
>Other artist arrives, has a cancellation and suggests we start the armpit/cover-up sleeve
>Bang this out, impromptu, in two and a half hours
>He's sat all day and they've maybe covered a section the size of a hand

I'll admit that once I'd have talked mad shit, but actually now I kinda feel sorry for the guy. Everyone takes it so differently.

For some time now ive wanted to get a tattoo. I worry though that in a decades time were all look like tools. Thoughts

>> No.14240272

You will. Don’t get it.

Also, everyone will discriminate you. Unless you work in an artsy scene, you’ll have to never ever wear shirts or pants that show your tattood skin. The reality is, most people would not want someone who is too dumb to get a tattoo to work for them.

Also, most tattoos look like complete and utter shit. The “cool” tattoos you see online cost tens of thousands of dollars to do. Whatever you get is going to look significantly worse.

go for it if you really want one.
this might have been relevant a couple decades ago >>14240272
but most workplaces dont care, nor will they ever really see them unless you wear tees and shorts/get a face or neck tat.

i thought a lot about whether i would regret it but that went away fairly quickly after getting one. you barely pay attention to it after a few months. plus not everything has to have permanent meaning, could just be a little memento of where you're at rn

Unless you're working at a super conservative office, having tattoos won't affect your life. I have two, and had some major anxiety issues at times because I thought people were going to think like >>14240272
The truth is rather that most people don't give a shit as long as you don't have terrible or political tattoos. I've seen people on 4chan wanting some lowkey nazi stuff tattooed and believe me, people WILL discriminate you for that.

I have a raven and a bear tattooed on my arm. The only people who actually cared were my parents, but I've told them my plans and they realize they cannot stop me. I also know one person who scoffed at my raven when it was new, but it's someone I absolutely do not care about.

I mean, think of the amount of times people post very old tattoos. Like the Sailor Jerry stuff. As long as whatever you chose isn't obviously 'of a time', like the little Chinese characters; Dolphins; Tribal and so on, you shouldn't let the idea of what people might think in the future put you off. It's practically a societal norm here in the UK at this point and I don;t expect that will change.

>>14240494
Just because you don't like a style, it doesn't mean it;s a bad tattoo.
