I'm thinking about copping a Barbour Beaufort this winter but I'll probably just make do with the jackets I already have.

Considering buying pic rel but I feel like it may come across as a larp

Probably won't go with Eastman Leather.
Aero Leather company seems fine for several hundred dollars cheaper.
Military contract reissue Bomber's are my weakness.

The Kountry release they did for fall/winter was a beauty but I believe it also sold for about five thousand dollars. I like how every year they have about a dozen different materials they release this design in. Sometimes in different cuts as well. Tempted to have bought a full-trench length one about two years ago.

Pretty much that. The Barbour jacket ticks a few boxes for me like pockets, level of dress, level of warmth, breathability.
Waxed cotton tends to be heavy but if you ignore that part I think it can be a lot more comfortable than most raincoats.
