Benefits doesn't cover prescription sunglasses, and they get pretty expensive. Also, less convenient to tuck sunglasses into a pocket and swap with eyeglasses when going in doors, compared to a clip. Just seems like the best of both worlds, if you could find a pair that doesn't look too dorky.

Ray-Ban® - the most cliché brand you could possibly choose. Screams 'I lack a of sense of style' to everyone, as you gladly let 1/20th of your vision be BLOCKED by some random conglomerate logo slipping further and further into conformist non-individuality

The whole point of Ray-Bans, or any long established brand for that matter is the cliché it's been connected to. You don't just wear them just because. You also wear them to buy into the established reputation it has.
And because my eyes is all fucked up I need prescription glasses: I never have to deal with the logo in my vision.

you don't always have to be a special snowflake, you can allow yourself wearing stuff, which is just good, hence worn by many

no other brand has as many iconic models as RayBan does

Luxottica has some shitty, overpriced brands, more precisely all the clothing fashion brands they manufacture sunglasses for, RayBan is not one of those, Persol isn't either
