I'm actually extremely adept at thrifting quality clothes. I rarely by designer new. I used to work in textiles and I'm pretty good at spotting quality material and production. Quality isn't a meme, but Luxury price does not always mean luxury quality.

Tbh my most expensive clothes (visvim etc.) all look kind of ordinary, there's just a subtle difference in design and material that makes them stand out. That's literally all there is to designer labels for casual clothes for the most part. You pay thousands more just to look *slightly* different. The 'mid'-range clothes I have all look like the highest quality, because they're basic and the price comes from the quality, and not the slightly edgy design. There's a good reason to pay for the latter, but I don't think there's any good reason why I spend thousands on outfits that the vast majority of people don't really notice. They may think it looks good, and that it looks a little different, but not that it's extraordinary somehow. The reason I buy that shit is because I'm crap with the money I inherited and am completely impulsive and stupid.

I've spent thousands on shit that I wore once and then regretted. Don't be like me.
