I'm thinking of getting a pair of brown and a pair of gray suede chelsea boots but I'm just concerned if say I step in a puddle or it starts to rain or snow a bit and they get wet how should you try to fix the boots? Also what kind of pants do you wear with your chelsea boots that look best with them?

suede can be cared for but it does take work. It’s not for daily wear, save it for sunny days. Suede is really comfy in summer

Where do you live?

Honest truth, Suede is a pain in the ass, you can water proof it relatively well and keep it clean, but if you're in an area where it rains more than like 60~ days a year, you're better off going with a leather version if you want to wear it everyday.
