Been growing mine for a while. Happy with the shine it has and all but want to give it a bit more of texture and volume.

Long hair on men is a looks amplifier. That is what makes it so hard to pull it off for guys, not to mention the fact many guys who grow long hair have no idea how to take care of it and ends up looking shaggy and messy.

If you're good looking, it makes you stand out more, giving you either a "rebellious" viking-esque appeal if you're a big muscular chad or a more refined intellectual style if you're leaner and shorter.

This doesn't mean you should wear your hair long just because you're good looking; as with many haircuts, it complements some faces and attitudes more than others.

One last thing: Most girls don't give a shit about the length of your hair unless it's dirty, you're obviously balding or it's retardedly long (read: touching your butt).
A few of them just dislike it, others love it.
There's no clear-cut answer to attracting *ALL* girls, so just go for what you like. It's not like a girl who hates long hair would reject a 10/10 just because of his hair, for most people such superficial matters are rarely a deal breaker.

Aussie shampoo + conditioner + repairer are the key.
Swap between the Aussie and some other random one every shower to feed the hair what Aussie may lack. This may seem autism but I feel the differences
Conditioner and repairer maybe once or twice a week, otherwise the hair becomes too soft and silky.
No hair dryer.
Coconut oil once a month (try doing it on a neet day so you can have since on for a long time).

The point of the buzzpill is that it works whether you're ugly or handsome, it's just objectively a good hairstyle or lack thereof

Long hair will exclusively look good if you are good looking and probably you'd look better buzzed anyway

Took mine 3 years ago and finally cut it about a month ago. Was down to the middle of my back. I had thick, curly hair that waved out towards the ends. People absolutely loved it but it was a fucking PAIN to maintain. Tried nopoo and my hair was a greasy fucking mess. Washed with Shea Moisture sulfate free shampoo and it worked great. Conditioned every 3 days. and used leave in condish. Hair was healthy and shiny, but the upkeep was too much. Buzzed it down and look 10 years younger according to folks and friends. Have fun with it, but know sooner or later you're gonna cut it, and when you do, it'll be lethargic.

I started growing it out 6 months ago, going for this look as my hair is a similar thickness and curly. Dont know if my face shape is right for it though, just might end up chopping it off again.

Combing it out was a hassle and had to be done daily or else I'd get knots. I didn't heat dry. I air dried it. This is key. You want beautiful hair? Let it air dry. That took forever.

mane and tail is great for long thick hair, but horsehairs do end up pretty coarse so I'd recommend leave-in conditioner, maybe hair masks, and just brushing whenever you can.
also trim around your beard and eyebrows so they're more defined.
