Wear 2 pairs of socks, where them as much as you can, get the doc pomade or what ever the fuck it's called that softens the leather and put a 2x4 in them and hammer the heel to break in the leather. You're welcome.

Break them in slowly like wearing them around the house while doing chores. Band-aid area with risk of bleeding or swear two socks.
Don't be a dumb fuck like me an wear them out for a 8km walk when they haven't broken in. Now I have dark rings of blood around my calves.

>> No.13872683

I bought a pair when I was in Rome last year and wore them all day exploring the city. At the end of the day my feet were fucked up with ink, blisters and blood.

Just wear them when you're running errands or around the house. Squeeze your feet around, squat, scrunch the shoe, etc to soften them up and get some creases in them. That helps breaking them in and makes them look better.

Why are they so hard to break in? Cheap construction?

Somehow I never had this issue with mine. Admittedly, I did buy mine in my early/mid teens when I was still growing, so that probably helped.

Straight lace them tightly. Use good socks and add patches of bandages on the parts of your feet that get the most blisters. Wear them around the house or while running quick errands, not for long hikes. And balsam them often, on the outside and inside-parts of the leather.

Pee in the shoe and let it dry, smell will be gone and the leather will be much softer. Did it with all of my combat/leather boots.

Here's some shit I always did with my boots that's guaranteed to work:

1) The radical method: Stuff the boots from inside with something soft like a towel. Then wrap a blanket around them. Take a rubber hammer and beat the shit out of them, especially the uncomfortable areas. Really beat them to a pulp until they've softened up.

2) The medium radical method: Take a blow dryer, some coconut oil and a broom stick (preferably made of wood with a round end) Heat up the uncomfortable parts with the blow dryer, then stic the broom inside the boots and press it against the uncomfortable spots until they stretch a bit (you need to really use force here) then apply a bit of coconut oil on that spot and 'massage' it in. Repeat until all spots are softened to your desired level.

3) The not so radical method: Just take the coconut oil and massage the boot on the spots where you want to soften it. Use hard hand pressure. This may be really exhausting to you after a while though.

Side note tip: If your boots squeak, rub some coconut oil on the tongue of the boot and/or on the part that's slightly above the connection stitching of the sole. Blow dry until the oil seeped in between. Repeat if needed. The squeaking will be gone if done right.

>> No.13874562

>>13874561
Obviously you can use any other natural oil for this as well. I recommend coconut though.

Get your feet fitted and measured, either those boots are too small or too big.
I read somewhere that a sizable portion of the population wear the wrong shoe sizes.

Like the others said, break them in by wearing around the house or running errands.
Try something "Mole skin", band-aid or Blister Patches.

Note: get them in greasy or full-grain leather, not the shiny, corrected and chrome-y kind. While the shine is sexy, it's almost just as arse to break in than Docs (Docs were a bit tougher IMO) because it has the same kind of fucking plastic peel on the top layer. I wish they'd make even a small line of full-grain boots that were taller, I'd pay good fucking money to have my 14i-steel toe-shitkickers with greasy leather.
