I think you're not aware of how these tunics really have to fit. The shoulders need to sit inside of the sleeve head. It's not a suit jacket that makes your shoulders look wider than they are.

The shoulders on the wehrmacht tunics are usually very short because you are not able to move your arms in them if they aren't tight in the armhole and sleeve head. Knoch has been going on for ages about how terrible reproductions are today. You might not like the 'aesthetic' but that's how it's supposed to look.

No, the sleeves are set like regular sleeves in most jackets, but the shoulders are extremely narrow with the chest width sitting high underneath the armpit. You do see officers with wide and padded shoulders obviously but that's for vain reasons rather than mobility.

I think his rendition is a bit too skinny but if you read the text on his pic I think that was clear to him as well.

either william lennon or jan berger are where you want to look. vlastislav koutny's basically dead, as is tom mattimore, and nestof/mantheline boots are probably trash (t. knoch). the closest i've seen that aren't literal reproductions are chippewas or oak street bootmakers. there's a canadian company that makes black lowboots, but otherwise the market for old fashioned shoes is way drier than you'd think.

Avoid S/k/ammandoStore and find it somewhere else. As for the boot it is pretty good but doesn't last if you actually use it for more out-doors stuff. Feels great from when you slip it to when it dies though.
