I was at an exhibit in Copenhagen and saw the lens he used to film this. 1 of 3 lenses in existence made by NASA and it's what enabled him to film completely with natural light even in dark scenes. Cool stuff.

I thought there was TONS of substance. Bunch of stuff I only got on the second watch through. Lots of symbolism and connections between Amy Adam's memories and the scenes she reads in the book. Also little things like the naked fat women in the beginning representing a freedom she never had as her perfect, fashionable self always making the proper choices, money over love etc.

When he talked about wanting to destroy all the beautiful things he never had, and hunting elk through the ruins of Rockefeller Center. Reinforced my firm belief in anarchy.
