Won one of these on eBay today, £26. Pretty excited to use the crown to set the time. The thing in the top right corner is the seconds, each segment fills after 10 seconds.

Postage was £2 more. The watch is from 1977, and part of Seiko's 0 series of modules which were the first LCD watches they produced, the next series removed the crown and used the more familiar side buttons. Supposedly you depress the crown to turn on the light, turn the crown at the normal position to show day and date, and pull out the crown to adjust everything (turning one way to select, and the other to adjust).

Why is Tissot so under appreciated around these parts? They're probably the best possible choice for people who want high quality Swiss watches without spending over a grand. Seriously you can get a powermatic 80 for around 500 bucks gray market and please don't tell me there is a superior movement than this in the price range because you would be lying. I'd like it to have a dark-colored (black, charcoal, or gunmetal) metal band, with some kind of orange, red, or rose gold accents on the front of the case.

Agreed though I think the crazy demand of Subs right now means they are kind of overrated too.

Models like the Milgauss or Air-King aren't even that well rated hence the low resale values. The Day Date deserves all the praise it gets.
