Just had to post about my new watch, I hope it's /fa/! I'm absolutely in love with this 18 carat, rose gold TAG Heuer Carrera watch purchased from the beautiful city of Perth. Made with sapphire infused glass that only diamond can scratch, I've spoiled myself with this gorgeous timepiece. The calibre 16 movement has been crowned as the most successful automatic chronograph movement ever produced, completely handmade by man. It is also my very first day date watch and it will be interesting to see if it becomes an important feature that Will depend on over time. I hope you all enjoy this watch as much as I do! After trying to regulate it a little I am down to around 5sek/day.

Still my SNGZ13k1 with 7s36 movement is doing crazy good for a 130€ automatic. Didn't adjust anything, this is how I got it.

Alright guys, rate my newest Casio mod.

Bracelet is from a aq230 that some slav sent me when I bought a vintage ana-digi from him.

Why this mod is the greatest there is?
f-91w will be produced eternally, so if anything fails I can just chuck in a new module and be done with it.
Round face means I can use sapphire crystals and generally don't have to hunt for a nos square crystal.

Haven't changed the led though, might do that too later.

The explorer is a very good replica but the letters in the rehaut don’t line up very well with the minute markers.
That’s the only way to tell without unscrewing the crown or getting the back off. They’re that good.

Presumably what he means is that the SARB models were made in Seiko's lower end mechanical production chain that their manufacturing facilities in Malaysia, but I still think Seiko owns those facilities so I wouldn't call it 'outsourced'.

It is accurate to say that they don't go through production entirely in Japan like SARX/SBDx tier models do. You can usually tell the mid-range models that are produced fully in japan by the much higher caliber of external finishing they have compared to the sub $350 ranges of models

I'd say Poljot 3133 and more beaten up Seiko 6139's.

Unfortunately the 3133 market is full of frankens slapped together by ukrainian subhumans, and the 6139 has a fatal flaw that makes it useless as a chronograph after forty years.

I'm getting a lot of criticism for calling this watch "high end" but, even after reading all of the comments, I stand by what I said. There will always be a bigger, more expensive brand of watch with slightly better movement or with a little more charm but I enjoy THIS watch. TAG Heuer is a well established, respected brand for people like myself who cannot afford the "real" high end brands. After severing $6000 AUD (a lot for a student like me) this piece brings me great satisfaction, I'm truly disappointed by people telling me that it's from a lower bracket of watches, not worth it or that I'm wrong for considering it high end. As many have pointed out (and I really appreciate the support), "high end" is subjective and really depends on the spectrum of watches he/ she can afford. This watch, believe it or not, is high end in terms of what I will come to own in my lifetime. I didn't post for any other reason than to share my watch with a group of people who could appreciate it. Don't prove me wrong.

Tag gets an unfair rap and they have improved significantly in the last 30 years. I would definitely consider it a higher end watch, though would stop short of calling it a luxury piece. Others have different definitions of luxury though so there are some who would say any watch over $1000 is luxury.

The watch reflects your taste, style, needs. It's a little off-beat - it's not just yet another speedy, or a super busy navitimer, nor is it another black bay AKA the 'I-couldnt-justify/afford-a-rolly-sub-so-this-will-do watch'.

Latest-latest is this. I've only restored this 2003 AGS so I can say for certain I know how to service Kinetics. Otherwise it's the most boring watch ever made, and I doubt I'll ever wear it again. Bracelet is nice, solid link though.

But there's something definitely wrong with it. Last time I wore it was Friday, when this picture was taken, and it still runs, while indicating power is 2/3 full. While it's supposed to have only a 72 hour power reserve. I used a genuine Seiko replacement capacitor, with the accurate part-number. Really weird. Though the service sheet names the cap as part 3029, while the one I bought was a compatible 3023 cap. Maybe it's beefier, I don't know.
