Save to say women in the 60-70s had better fashion sense than women today.
Here is a woman(albeit a beautiful woman) in present day wearing something that was quite normal in the late 60s.
Everything is so plain and simple, more attractive than the cluttered mess women are today.

thats just because your perception of the is being warped by pop culture representations of the 60s instead of pics of what people actually wore then. your pic itself is a hollywood creation from a day ago.

even if you got pics from the 60s, you cant rely on things like music videos, magazine editorials, ads, or movies. those are all steps up from what most people ordinarily wear on a day to day basis. here you go, random pic i found of people at an amusement park. i found a lot of other pics and it seems like a lot of womens outfits were short sleeve dresses in a wallpaper looking floral, white, or yellow, otherwise baggy jeans or baggy khaki pants with a shirt of a similar floral pattern

Women fashion these days is a lot more creative, using a wide array of fabrics and textures to create an interesting look. Just because you have your own bubble it doesn't mean fashion is just the mainstream skimpy 17s y.o.

There were simply less options back then. People with bad taste didn't really have a way to express it. The worst you could do back then would be wearing something boring or in the wrong size. Nowadays there are clothes with all kinds of bright colors and obnoxious prints and words on them.
