There was a weird phase in the mid/late 90s, at the peak of the Spice Girls popularity, when these buffalo boots were everywhere. At first only girls wore them, but after about 1 year or so, the first boys pioneered them. I always thought they were horrible. It's funny to think that people wore plateau shoes in mainstream.

Just do what grunge youth did. Wear them out. Keep washing until it washes out. Or wash them with bleach, I acid washed mine. Very minimal bleach of course. If not for the bleach method, never put pants inside out, use harsh chems to more quicker wear off the color. I just never bothered, my jeans on their own over time washed off the color after 2 or 3 years.
