If it has to be a skeleton, Fossil is honestly probably what I would recommend, but wouldn't be happy about recommending it. Going rate on eBay for Cal. 502 Omega's in decent shape is under $500USD. You could get a 564 chronometer model and have it serviced for under $1k so I wouldn't even consider spending $1500 on a Cal. 502 in that condition.
