No you have the magical power of being able to have a bmi of 12 while still being fat.

Realistically though, it might affect how you look when you get skinny. Some people have difficulty putting on muscle when underweight, others will look like buff hollows. Some get all the fat in their face and no curves, others keep their curves but have shunken in faces. You’ll probably keep your general shape as you lose weight, so less fat/weight everywhere but even less where you have little now.

Do one thing at the time. First try a small deficit (200 kcals) and try maker it bigger as you feel like you don't progress as much. When you feel like it's a too big deficit, lower it again. Feel what's right for you.
If you're already lifting, continue lifting. If it's a new habit for you, make eating in a caloric deficit a habit first (do it for one or two months until you really get the hang of it), then add regular lifting.

Unless you are determined and have a reason to get out of an ED it's pointless, keep in mind that part of the therapy is refeeding and meal plans which is the absolute worse, I was put on a 2500cal meal plan, threw it in the trash and reworked a 1000-1200cal plan which should be enough to be on a daily deficit of 500+ if my sedentary TDEE is about 1800. Also have fun taking anti depressants as they will fuck with your apetite (especially if it's an SSRI)

Hi anon. I'm your height and was 147 lbs ~2 months ago. The first and most important step to losing weight is changing up the food you have around the house. Cut out junk food, processed food, soda, unnecessary sugars, frozen food, etc. Focus on eating healthy and homemade.

Tips I've found that help a lot are
>smaller plates, which psychologically give you smaller portions
>drink a liter of water per meal
>if rice is a staple (it is for me cause I'm Asian), stop or reduce to ½ cup
>replace one meal in a day with oatmeal
>lessen red meat, replace with white meat and veggies
>start counting calories (I use Lose It! for this)
>no snacks, if you can't handle it eat fruit/veggies or just drink water

I'm at 125 lbs now even though I don't exercise beyond light walking. If you start exercising too, I'm sure you'll lose weight at a much faster rate than I am. I've lost control of my diet and just eat fruits and yogurt these days. I don't do much exercising anymore either outside of lunges/light bicep curls when I grow nervous. Sitting for long periods of time has made me feel incredibly guilty. It's up to me to get the diet and exercise back on track, but I stuck to it for two years at my goal weight, several years before that losing weight.

Combine that with an $8,000-$10,000 hurdle in the surgery and it becomes incredibly hard to muster the will to care.
