how do y'all feel about decorative fake trees ?

i just can't decide if they're too tacky or not.
i like that i can just immediately have large foliage green in my place, but idk how i feel about the zero-effort nature and the dust i can imagine gets pretty bad

get some nice curtains
patterned area rugs and throw pillows
mirrors will help make the space seem larger
hang lots of artwork. find old frames at goodwill, garage sales, craigslist.
small potted plants

theres a lot of good furniture craigslist.

I wouldn't buy them desu, my plants are the loves of my life

this is pretty close to prime aesthetic, the new apartment's got weird sand colored walls so I'll cop as much white shit as possible

If you're going to get a fake plant; then invest in a silk one and be prepared to clean it occasionally.

Otherwise I suggest you look into getting large low maintenance plants.

Anyone have any studio inspo? I've hit rock bottom and will most likely be moving into one come August

Personally I'm okay with small fake plants, but feel like large dusty stinky ones are dentist office tier.
Palms, pines, and fiddle-leaf figs are pretty easy to care for if you read the instructions that come with them.

I'm in the same boat. Just look up personal studio apartment tours on YouTube. I like doing that because they just show how regular people furnish their places, since looking for inspo from IKEA or designers doesn't yield anything realistic.

I'm considering moving to a small flat living on my own depending on what rent I can find and whether or not they'll accept houding benefit for when I'm off work in the winter.
Is it a good idea to browse Muji/Ikea/eBay for very basic and versatile furniture and accessories? I know its very simple stuff from there but I need to start somewhere
