Guys when is it okay to go to a chain haircut place like supercuts/greatclips/etc vs a regular barber?

reason i ask is because i havent been to a haircutter in 10 years cause ive been giving myself buzzcuts but now ive grown my jewfro out and want to get it styled but can a place like supercuts do a decent job with a short on sides and back long on top cut? i have no idea what to ask for so theyd have to know

Don't listen to anyone who says to attempt it on yourself. You don't know how to give professional haircuts. You're going to fuck up. Then when you give yourself another buzz, you'll have to wait months to try again.
