I tried some of those super heavy horsehide leather jackets and they just feel... nice. It's like I was wearing a suit of armor shielding me from the hostile world (I'm sure you know that feeling.) I am, however, an average figure MINTcel whose fashion is mostly based on "my sister told me it doesn't look too autistic", plus I don't really have that kind of money to throw at a jacket. What do?

Goodwill, Etsy. In case of the former, learn how to identify types of leather.

this. I own 4 leather jackets. 1 I bought brand new for 100 bucks, the other 3 I got for 50 bucks by thrifting.

Just to be precise here, I'm not just asking where to get them, but also how to wear them without feeling like a giant autist (or being seen as one, for that matter).

Just wear jeans or chinos/khakis, for the most part, and you will be fine. Almost any kind of shirt works, but especially, button-up shirts make the whole style tidy. I find that brown leather jackets, as in your picture, look especially great with khaki tan or olive green pants, yet denim is good, too.

I wear mine with flannel trousers in the winter and plain jeans in the summer. Make sure to get a nice pair of high waisted, cuffed, pleated if you prefer, grey flannel trousers. They go with everything and look especially good with leather jackets. Jeans are also a good option. You can't really go wrong there, just get some non distressed levis.

Next is color coordination. You can check the sticky for that but from my experience brown jackets look best with other earth tones (khakis, army green, chocolate brown) and black leather jackets look better with white, grey and blue.

Also look for classic styles like the A2 (god tier) A1, the classic motorcycle jacket like the one Marlon Brando wears, a B15 bomber or a harrington. Avoid too fashion-y or cheap designs.

Best tip: to avoid looking like a faggot either work out, own a motorcycle or both. If you have sóy facial genetics you're fucked.

Will post some inspo.

Oh, as for what to wear for the top, flannel shirts, sweaters, either light or cable knits, t shirts and avoid plain dress shirts unless worn with a v neck sweater and the jacket on top.

Save up to buy a well built but plain jacket. Buying quality garments and breaking them in yourself multiplies the comfy feeling twofold, but thrifting works too. As for styling, I would run it with a sort of drab, mature sort of fit, the kind of thing you’d see a well-off engineer wearing while visiting a worksite or something

If you're buying something like this it should be custom. Why is that? Because you need it to fit snugly enough that you can actually break it in or else it's going to look shitty FOREVER.
That means you should get in good shape BEFORE buying the jacket. If you're ideally going to get thinner, fatter, or fitter then you've just made your expensive leather jacket unwearable, possibly before you even broke it in properly.
Another reason you need to get /fit/ before you buy this is... Well imagine other people looking at you wearing this jacket. Are they really going to think you look cool or are they going to see a leather jacket wearing an incel?
You need to look as badass as you possibly can before you should consider spending money on this. That means being buff, big arms, thick neck. Enough of a tan that you don't look like you spend all your time inside, as much of a jawline as you can get etc.

Great, now I know why I got banned the other day. Some asshole ausfag is spamming dumb shit on /int/ with the same ip as me.

You're definitely not ready for this. Think of it kind of like vidya. You don't get the best armour right away, right? You have to put in time for that. You should think of looking good more similarly to that.

eg. Before you think about wearing a leather jacket you have to work out how to look good wearing sweaters or windbreakers or denim jackets etc.

While you save up for quality leather, spend that time working out. If you don't have proper shoulders/back you will look ridiculous. Make sure your program includes chinups, deadlifts, and presses.
As far as what to wear with it, that's going to depend on the jacket style. For bomber jackets, khakis, chinos, or cargo pants. For Brando style jackets, jeans only. Sportier Moto jackets look good with jeans or tactical pants
