hey /fa/ I am 6' and 120lbs. How do I dress without looking like a frail, pathetic child? Too lazy to go to the gym so I will probably remain a skeleton forever.

Get MyFitnessPal on your phone and count your calories, eat 500 cals over your TDEE with plenty of protein. And do something or else the weight you put on will be pure fat

Would you have to dip into the women's department? A lot of things I find thrifting are oversized. I've seen some guys do SLP style and it's sort of obvious they're wearing women's shirts cause the buttons are on the other side.

I'm extremely skinny as well and I get along fine, mostly because I love baggy clothes. Working out and eating right indeed helps your body look better, but in my experience I've stayed relatively skinny even when I gain muscle mass. It's just a super fast metabolism

you can buy mens flannels or dress shirts / jackets oversized and just get quite tapered pants/jeans. lots of the runway stuff is like open flannels that seem easily thriftable

wear structured clothes
an unstructured blazer would look awful on you, but a neatly tailored, structured, jacket wouldn't look bad. pleats might or might not help, depending on just how boney your legs are. I'd recommend just wandering into a mid tier clothing shop and shopping around.

there's nothing you can "do" about looking tall and thin, short of getting ripped or eating doughnuts for breakfast. but you can seek clothes that don't "hang", and clothes that tend to keep their shape rather than emphasize your bones.

the main problem is not that you are skinny and it won't be that you're fat if you get fat

the main problem is that you don't do enough activity and therefore don't have enough appetite to maintain a sensible diet/ and therefore weight

even the slightest exercise will massively change this

start by simply doing as many of a single simple bodyweight exercise as you can, on the hour every hour

squats, pressups, situps and dips are all pretty good
