I recently copped this, I've loved Daïtro for years. The only difference is I got it in black

my friend bought this tee recently when he saw them in Brooklyn. It's minorly different, like the lettering is in black metal style. I think it's better but both are quite nice imo

it's not about obscurity, it's about ubiquity. You might as well be wearing a McDonalds logo, or your country's flag. As corny as it sounds, a band tee should is somewhat of a personal statement about yourself you're making to the world. The Rolling Stones aren't personal, they don't belong to you, or anyone. A Rolling Stones shirt makes no statement because, again, I assume everyone I pass on the street likes the Rolling Stones... And broccoli, and attractive people, small animals, etc. Liking bands like that are the default setting.

And on a practical level, it just looks tacky. Velvets, Joy Division, Bowie, Nirvana, etc tees are one click above distressed Beatles or AC/DC shirts they sell at Target. Quality of music and how much you love them aside, those shirts are Spencers Gifts tier.
