How do I get my studio apartment more like this?

I'm on a budget but I'm open to a wide range of ideas.

I sorta stuck them up because they took up a lot of space and were easy to hang up. I had them lying around and it was a quick fix to my bare walls. I'm thinking of getting stuff like >>12952751. I'm also planning to get pic related hung up on my wall.

Would it look ridiculous to have curtains and blinds on the same window? I don't think I'm allowed to take the blinds down. I might try to find curtain rods that I don't have to drill.

get rid of that bed, your place is more catering to low profile furniture. open up the space by having artwork that matches the coloring of the walls, light colors. anything else and it'll close the space up. most of the furniture is ugly. flags look bad; white sheets on whatever bed you get that is lower would look much better

chars are not bad but get rid of that black shit tier covering, it makes them look bad and intrusive. place them somewhere else.

leave the space of your windows more open to interaction.

This is serious, throw out/sell all your furniture and start over once you know what kind of aesthetic you're going for. What you have right now is terrible, and doesn't work at all with the colors of your rooms.

Personally I like IKEA and am currently doing a lot of shopping there, but this is how no to do it. If you're inclined, save up some money to make your place more comfy so it doesn't look empty and clinical.
Pick solid linen for your bed, like plain white or light grey, and maybe add one blanket with a pattern or texture. Get an actual sofa or higher quality chairs, and give them some life with pillows and blankets. Get an actual TV stand too, because KALLAX can't fit a DVD player (learned this the hard way). Buy a simple floor lamp for some soft lighting.
Find some decoration too; your flags are cool but sort of stick out like sore thumbs by themselves. You don't have to go crazy, but just adding a few prints, a globe, small tables, more books and a couple of plants would make the place look more like a home. Shit, even my boyfriend's anime figures look okay in our spare room.

Best thing about this room is your headboard. Work with that color of wood, but make it an accent color. Dont fight this floor either. You could get a real cozy vibe going on here if you work with the woods instead of trying to cover them up. That's your word though, "cozy". So google inspos relevant to "cabins", "warm", "comfortable", etc.

>Furs (mixed browns, never solids)
>Minimalist colors (don't overwhelm this space with too much clutter/pattern)
I like to pick two colors, one as the focal point and one as the "pop!" (I've come to call it). I usually pick a very low key neutral as the main so its easier to work around, and a bright pop color for one or two accent items. This approach means the viewers eyes will be drawn to those spots of color so invest in them the most. Maybe even art pieces.

no taxidermy under any circumstances. that shits never cool.

there needs to be decent amount of light and you can probably only get plants that can tolerate high humidity environments

post a picture of your bathroom and I might be able to tell you if it will work, but honestly unless you have a huge bathroom it's gonna look weird as fuck

my advice would be to get a few select plants, you can get a couple of dope jungle ones that love humidity and spread em out, put em in the window or hang them from the ceiling
