Hey all you /fa/gs. Not from this board and don't care about fashion, but I come to you with a question about clothes organization:

What's the most /fa/ approved way to fold, store, organize, and display your clothes?

For the past few years I've been just keeping most of my clothes in a big Tupperware storage box and digging around in that to dress myself daily. Pic related. Most recently I've become redpilled on rolling my clothes rather than folding, as I hear it protects from wrinkles better, and also makes it easier to quickly identify & grab a shirt or whatever from my box (previously, I had to briefly unpack the whole box to grab my favorite blue shirt that was on the bottom of the stack).

This overall sucks; it's inefficient, and ugly, and unsuitable for nicer clothes like my business suit and polos/collared shirts, which I still fold twice lengthwise as you can see in the pic.

Any tips?
Is there a well-organized, foolproof system for organization I haven't heard about yet?

one side of closet: pants in front, then tees by color, then behind there is oddball stuff I don't wear a lot
other side of closet: work clothes
hallway closet: jackets / outerwear; shoe boxes on shelf above

underwear / socks are in a basket on the floor of my closet that I got at Container Store

Well I should mention I mostly did this cuz I got pretty into the """minimalist""" meme a few years ago, and began rent-hopping finding places on Craigslist so I was really mobile. So sometimes I didn't have a closet at all (including up till now, staying in the guest room at my mom's house) so I just kept everything in the moving box I used.

My /fa/shion game suffered for it too, I think. Because the breadth of my daily selection became limited by the higher effort required to mix & match new outfits, I tended to favor wearing the same items of clothing multiple times (not always consecutive days tho) before throwing them in the hamper. Which also made them degrade faster.

But I did like the modularity of it.

Should I keep rolling my clothes for any kind of storage other than hanging; or is that definitely a meme?

Roll and pack vertically most clothes.

Dump socks and undies in a pile.

For stuff that has to hang, well, hang it. Even if it's from the side of a wardrobe or behind a door.

If you are minimalist you probably only have 10 at most articles anyway so it shouldn't be hard to figure out.

Pack vertically in what?
And by vertically you mean each roll standing on end; or just stacking the rolls on a shelf on top of each other?

What if I don't have a dresser. Just shove em in The Box? That's what I do currently but it's a pretty tight squeeze and not the best for seeing every article.

on end.

Stuff that needs to hang needs to hang. Get one of those hooks that stick to the wall if you have no other options.
