Made the prototype of my first jacket ever! Can't wait to get the first one made. Do look past the imperfections, because I was excited to post it, even though it's not the final product. I'll have the final product done soon hopefully, and it'll have interfacing to support the cut out portion and an interlining. Also I might dye it a little blacker and wax it.

Yes they are seatbelts! I liked the contrast between the sheen of the seatbelt, and the matte canvas. Felt it was an element even beyond just the straps that I wanted to take from a straight jacket. Sorry you didn't like it!

Actually I left the straps unfinished so I can remove them and put them on the first actual garment. They'll be an inch and a half shorter. I do agree they are a little bit too long.

it's great that you have enthusiasm but everything you have posted has not been sellable products
and while it might be lot of fun to do crazy shit that barely functions, it's the skill to pour your vision and something original and inspired to something fairly simple and ordinary
