No offense, but this sounds like the idiotic perspective pushed by the fashion industry in general - that "avant garde" somehow equates to commodification via shitloads & enormous mountains of $$$$$. But in fact precisely the opposite is true, AND HAS ALWAYS BEEN TRUE: as far as dress & costume is concerned, cheap and inexpensive is the framework within which any variety of "avant garde" is arrived at, with absolutely free or found being superior to cheap and inexpensive, and stolen superior to free or found. The notion that some dumb fuck dressed head-to-toe in Rick Owens or any other absurdly priced fashion industry tool's line of attire is laughable. well you can wear them with tight or baggy pants, a good way to wear them in a tame way is some straight legged pants over the ricks, dont tuck the pants in unless you want to draw attention to the shoes. They're really easy and can be worn with anything at all. The reason is because they're versatile; they could be worn as the shining star of the fit or the christmas tree to keep it tame. I own them and they are my favorite shoes
