a bit edgy but it works if you're minimalist enough to keep all your stuff in your living room without it being cluttered.
i imagine a clothing rack on the other side of the bed, that's it - perfect.

charge the phone in your living room and don't use it in bed, it will do wonders to your sleep.
only use your bed for sleeping or reading for a bit if you have trouble falling asleep.

Why is it that everyone thinks that spamming plants around the house in every nook and cranny looks good? It's dumb because it distracts from the aesthetic of the room, is a practical chore that sucks, and it's reminiscent of a hoarder.

There are two extremes. The Western style cramped, cluttered museum of a "home" with multiple, often clashing, design elements, or the sterile, barren "minimalist" approach that is not only dreadfully dull, but also a bit life-sucking. Depends what you want, I suppose. I'd personally go mostly for white and wooden furniture, with a few touches of colour here and there.

What colour is up to you, I guess. If you want something soothing & limited palette, go for other greens and touches of blue. If you want more contrast, maybe some yellow and red would work?

Anybody have any wall art inspo / ideas? Just bought my first condo and I'm sort of lost with what type of art to put on the walls. I know it should be a personal thing I just don't really know where to start. The building was built in the early 60's and a lot of my furniture is mcm, the place has parquet floors, and so on. i've probably got around thirty plants in my small apartment so i've got some insight on this:
1. maintaining them doesn't take much time, i water most of them once or twice a week, it takes fifteen minutes tops.
2. dead plant matter isn't really that hard to deal with. you just sweep it up and move on. we vacuum and wipe down surfaces frequently anyway so we wouldn't be spending any less time without plants
3. no problems with bugs.
caring for the plants is also a relaxing hobby in addition to making the place look good so all the pros outweigh the cons

I slept on a futon for an entire summer once. Know how wearing skirts instead of tight underwear makes the sperm count rise? Kind of the same thing in a spiritual sense.
Normal beds are still better, but if you have a good mattress, relaxing on the ground is fun and you can fall asleep just as fast. Also if you're poor and/or live in a small space, it's the smartest choice.

It's a scarlet macaw tardo and it's not difficult at all. they are legally bred in the US although imo it should be illegal. these birds are too intelligent and too big to be kept in a cage. imagine being able to fly like 50mph for hundreds of miles and live in a cage not much bigger than your wingspan. being neglected your entire life till your owner dumps you on someone else despite being a parrot that mates for life and suffers lifelong emotional distress when removed from it's original owner. what a shit life.

I'm in Northern Ontario, Canada.

They switched most of the signals to digital, and were saying all analog was shutting down, but clearly that didn't happen. Pretty sure they just wanted an excuse to shut down their OTA stuff and charge everyone for cable or satellite.

A reasonable start for a MCM/minimalist style. Thrift stores, yard sales, etc are your friend. Take your time, acquire good pieces, you'll do fine. Style is built over time. Not bought from a catalog or web site.

Holy shit, are you clinically retarded, or just a numale?

Either return it and get one that fits, or yes, get a hide-a-bed and a small rolling desk. Or better yet, buy a murphy bed and get a proper desk, but MEASURE FIRST.

Fuck, why are you millennials so stupid? It's no wonder you have such a shitty living space.

>not dry wall or anything that would be good for securing a murphy bed
Hoooly fuck. No! You don't secure anything to the drywall! You literally just need a stud finder (read: a small magnet) to locate the beams, and then secure it to THOSE. You put anything in the drywall alone and it'll get ripped out by a slight breeze.

Already posted mine ITT, but that's irrelevant. This is basic knowledge.

But hey, whatever, enjoy blindly nailing shit into your walls and hoping it stays put (or that you don't hit a fucking electric cable). Christ...maybe get your parents to do it for you. You clearly have no idea how to do anything, but at least your betters can help you out since we're not retarded shitposters.

nigga did you not read? i said the studs are too far the fuck apart for said murphy bed. that would have been my first choice.

Whoa, amazing...and you can even make a little shelf to mask it! Maybe get a job instead of wasting your life and you'd have some basic knowledge of housework and repairs. But really, that's asking a lot from your group.

So again, get your daddy to help you. Just tell him you're an incompetent beta who needs an actual man to do some simple shit for you (easy there, don't get triggered just yet).

I love minimalism as a concept / aesthetic but the 'subculture' if you can call it that is awful.
