Personally, I'd have the pants hemmed to a reasonable length. That way you wouldn't need to cuff them after every wear or wash. It's pretty cheap depending on where you go. I think most dry cleaning places offer simple services like these but you're better off relying on Yelp to tell you where the good places are.

Consider popular high fashion designers such as Rick, Raf, Yohji, Jun, Issey, Heidi, etc., and then consider the likes of any given fast fashion brand; aside from the obvious disparity in material and build quality, along with price, the key difference is intent. Those designers make the shit that they do because it fulfills a larger, greater conceptual linkage of the garments, which is why seasonal fashion shows indefinitely have some sort of clearly inspired thematic. Fast fashion brands and all that shit just want to make money, so they just make cheap, shitty copies of what becomes popular or desirable in the high fashion world and make them easily accessible to the general public. The majority of the people that post on these threads (and probably /fa/ as a whole) are likely between the ages of 16-22, and not only do they lack the funds to "fashion" themselves or whatever the fuck anon was saying, but they mostly lack the experience and the inspiration to do so in an interesting and motivated way. Knoch always comes to mind when i think of the days of /fa/ from a few years ago where we had a pretty decent amount of trip-fags who had made their intentions and inspirations very clear in their fits, AND they also looked dope as fuck. Like for Knoch this shit wasn't just some budding hobby to impress bitches or his friends by showing them all of his internet clout on a tibetan plate-spinning picture board, he was obviously very passionate about it, hence why he no longer posts here LOL. The best part of the older days tho was how everyone actually contributed criticism and didn't get so fucking assblasted if they received it, which is how a majority of the kids here on these threads act if anyone says some negative shit about their garbo picture, granted, most criticisms are "shit fit".
