Most of these decor inspo pics are revolting hipster shit. Shabby chic, country kitsch, tired, played out, tacky shit. Words-as-decor, useless, cutesy, girly crap, etc.

>> No.12102620

Looks a bit too cramped
Under the bed looks a bit sloppy
Wires should be better managed
I feel like the shelves would look better with a darker natural wood finish
Walls are a bit sterile, though the contrast with the vibrant imagery might be what you're going for
Thicker curtains would work better
Feels like you should have a sitar or some other traditional instrument somewhere
Incense would be a nice thing to add to maximize aesthetics

Otherwise I like it

I actually had one of those sitars with an input jack (same one in pic) that i bought off craigslist for like $80 but I sold it for a $60 profit because it wasn't that versatile of an instrument, just kind of neat looking and gimmicky

i'd love to buy a "real" one some day when i find one for cheap and have the cash

re "other traditional instruments" i've got guitars and amps and shit on the other side of the room and like this psychedelic looking harp thing but they're not really visual pieces like a sitar would be or some other indian instrument like tabla drums (i do have bongos though)

anyway, thanks for the tips
i agree with your criticisms and i'll keep them in mind but
a) i don't clean often, tidy up, or keep very organized
b) i don't know if i care enough to spend the time and money getting each piece of the room perfect, it's basically just what i've kind of amassed decorated and placed as best as i could

i appreciate it though

>> No.12102690

>>12102657

Something in a burgundy or maroon would work well I think, maybe with a golden pattern embroidered on it if you can find one that doesn't look cheap, as it would match your Ganesha fabric. If you're looking for a short term solution though, thicker white curtains would work, though not too thick as I think natural lighting works best here.

Well i recommend at least putting it on pallets, beacuse you dont want the bed to touch the floor as it'll collect dust and or possibly some mites/bed bugs, and with a pallet it's cheap, low profile and will keep the bed from touching the ground
