It takes time for them to get used to you being skinny. Once I got to a bmi of like 21 my family started saying "don't lose anymore" and so forth. But I kept losing, and then just telling them "I've weighted the same for 6 months" and since they really didn't know what I weighed and when, that worked. It helps if you see them often like in your situation because it is very hard to tell how much someone is losing when you see them often. It's when you are gone for a few months and lose 10-lbs that people really can notice.

Also if you are losing slowly and keeping your nutrition good, you should be alright. Just don't get any symptoms of a problem like feeling faint or your skin looking shitty, etc. Stay healthy while you do it - not just for appearances but for you.

I had a binge again.

Last night after the debate I got upset and drove to McDonalds and got four sausage mcmuffins with egg and a large coke (all day breakfast menu) and ate them in my car in the parking lot. I thought I'd leave after that but then I went back up and got three double quarter pounders with cheese, 20 peace chicken mcnuggets, and a large chocolate shake. I ate those in the parking lot and started to feel sick so drove home and ate an entire platter of leftover tiramisu, made waffles with syrup and butter, ate 10 of these small haagen daz ice creams I keep in the freezer (190 calorie ones), made two microwave bean borritos, and now just before 9AM just polished off a frozen pizza.

This election has been really bad for my eating disorder.

I mean to me it is. You see a lot of crazy shit on a bike. The one thing that's most frustrating to me is other bikes and drivers that think you're retarded.
Nothing like having a five minute gesture fight at a four way stop because they have the right away while you scream "You're in a two thousand pound death machine that rides explosions just fucking go!"

The two times I've been hit were at low speeds for the same reason, where I finally side "Fine fuck it!" And they quickly pulled in and bumped me while I screamed " Fuck you really?".

Another time I was riding by the post office and saw an old man fallen on ice with people staring at him on the sidewalk from a few feet away. Popped off my bike, gave him a piggy back ride into the post office, and had a wonderful conversation with a korean vet after making the people staring feel awful.

So as long as you're aware of your surroundings... I think urban biking is pretty great for the human element/adventure and your butt! ^_^

I get shitty throwaway bikes to be honest, 130 at fleetfarm mountain bike style. I do replace my bike every three months or so, but i also put 40 miles+ a day on average without maintenance so.... it's to be expected.
If there's a decent bike shop in the area I'm sure the hipsters will point you in the right direction.

Decent bike? Well over a thousand USD if you want to buy new. However, used bikes are cheap and often quite good. Bikes, maintenance wise, are really simple, you can learn how to do everything with youtube. Take a quick trip to /n/. Post some craigslistings that you are interested in in your area's used bike board in their bike buy general. They will help you determine if it will suit your needs.
