is the kanken good for manlets? I'm 5'10 in a small canadian town and I'm looking for something other than a herschel backpack

I'm 5'9 male in 3rd year of uni. My old backpack is pretty much in shreds and wasn't all that good to keep my laptop safe.

Any recommendations?
I'm not too fashionable, my clothes are pretty plain so nothing too fancy. I think a fancy/too tryhard backpack will just look tacky and ridiculous on me.

This is what I'm using atm. Pretty much just use it for Uni. Holds my laptop, a texbook, and a few notebooks with ease. In the rucksack, I usually have a spare jacket.

Its extremely comfortable and I like the look. Only had for about 5 months, so I can't testify for it's durability quite yet.

I have a faux-leather bag from Mosson Bricke that I got a while ago and I actually really like it. It fits the rest of my style - bbs/ziggy chen type stuff - despite being pretty cheap.
