Sizing FAQ:
Footwear: This is all foot shape dependant, if you have high arches or are flat footed sizing may vary.
>Geobaskets and Cargobaskets
Size down 0.5 to 1 whole size

>Ramones (Highs, Lows, DRKSHDW Lows, DRKSHDW Highs and Vegans)
TTS, High top Mainline Ramones can accomodate sizing down 0.5
>Ramones Socks
Size down 1
>Basket Creepers, Sidezip Creepers, Limo/Spiral Creepers and Combat boots
TTS, old season limo creepers may require sizing down 1
>Adidas Tech Runners, Adidas Vicious Runners, Adidas stretch boot, Adidas Springblades (Lows and Highs)
TTS or down 0.5, Adidas stretch boots should be sized TTS to your UK sizing

Clothing:
>Drawstring pants
Size down 1

>Suiting pants and Denim
TTS
>Blazers and Leather Jackets (Numerical sizing)
Size up
>Leather Jackets (Letter Sizing)
TTS
>Tees, tops and tanks
TTS, Sizing should take into account how garment is wanted to fit. Silk blend garments may need sizing up
>Knitwear, Hoodies, Sweaters and general Outerwear
TTS

This is only a guide, trying things on in store is the only sure way of knowing if it will fit. Sizing does also vary season to season.

>> No.11094296

So I saw a lot of people asking about prisoner sizing in the last thread. I just got the ones I ordered from YOOX in Small and medium so this is what's true in my experience.

If you lift, go TTS. My waist is a 31 so S fits me fine in the waist band but my legs/ass are too big for them and ruin the silhouette. M fits me perfect but the waist is a little loose. I need to pull the drawstring all the way so they don't slip off my hips. If I put my phone in my pocket, they'd probably start sliding down. I wear an M normally in non-rick sweatpants.

If you have small legs/ass and don't do the whole SKWATS AND OATS thing, you should size down.

In other news, this is my first Rick purchase and holy shit I never want to wear/wash these. Everything about them is so so so perfect why did you guys do this to me you're going to make me poor.

Also as a more general question, am I right in assuming Jersey prisoners will work better aesthetically with Geos/Ramones than alternative fabrics?

Small would be my guess. I'm a 28 with semi-juicy thighs and I wear an XS perfect.

I would say that Felpa and Jersey work just as well with geos/Ramones. It will be the exact same silhouette, but jersey will have a little more flowiness when you're moving.

I'd go for small, the difference in sizes is mainly related to waist so if you get a M it may be roomier around the legs but you may have to tie the drawstring tighter.

I wash mine by hand. It's pretty easy to swish them around with some detergent and hang them to dry every week or so. The machine has a slight chance of speeding up the unraveling of the hem, but if you've had good luck so far your gentle cycle might be gentle enough to do it.

As for special care, don't overthink it! Wear them, wash them, hang pants and fold more delicate materials like Unstable cotton or silk blend.

Rick garments definitely won't stay looking new forever, but they will look age very gracefully and last you for a very long time. They're meant to take a bit of a beating and mold to your lifestyle!

The best are the waxed canvas, sometimes called "coated denim" but they've been out of stock for a long time and haven't been added to the Cyclops lineup. There's a Cyclops coated vegan sneaker that might be okay, but they're all black with no toecap. The canvas Ramones are classic, but if you can check, out the new cotton/polyamide ones (pictured). I have them from a previous season when they were "puffy," which a lot of people didn't like, but I do (mine are white tho).

I've been on the quest for Yohji dress pants for ages, but having never been sure if I could really make them work I was hesitant to pay hundreds of dollars for a pair. Just found pants by MKI with a similar style but much cheaper, hoping to experiment with them + Rick fits when they arrive. And if that works out, step up to the big leagues.

Only mentioning it here because a few weeks back there was a discussion about trying to track down similar pants to YYPH

I go to a private school, a lot of my friends have scratched streetwear surface of fashion and maybe Raf Simons if it wasn't for the "R" stan smith but regardless they cannot afford Rick Owens to be honest.

Not everyone can afford Rick Owens three/four-figure retail prices for a shirt or some shoes

>> No.11099468

>>11099456
You can get it without paying those prices - have a pretty good Rick stash and I go to a public university and work a part time retail job (Most I ever spent was $800 on a leather jacket, and only because I flipped a bunch of other stuff). The only thing is that if you don't have the money, you have to really really give a shit about Rick, enough to save up and track down the right sales.

So no, it isn't for everyone - but to the people it is for, they usually find a way.

It's a question of who pays the customs fees: the customer or the retailer.

LN-CC, Yoox, Lane Crawford, Luisaviaroma, ssense (to name a few) all pay the customs for you. Spence does not, and there are other retailers that do not.

LN-CC has a little caveat that if you still somehow get hit with customs fees, they will "reimburse" you in the form of store credit. I wonder if they're not paying customs, betting that you don't get hit with the fee either, and if you do, then they deal with it in a way where you wind up spending more money at their store. I worded that wierd sorry I just meant it's tough to get the job. The actual job is easy af, days are slow clientele is for the most part easy to work with. I mean I said why, They don't hire often, plus select amount of stores. When a position is open they usually move people from inside the company to fill the spots. I came from wholesale got moved to retail. My manager worked showrooms I believe. Not impossible, but it's easier if you start at a different spot in the company.

How do I incorporate graphic t shirts into Rick fits?
