didn't look like there was a fuccboi general in the catalog.

my question is: is it possible to wear white or off-white chinos/denim without looking incredibly mfa core? i'm thinking i could pull them off in a more minimalist fit but i feel like it would also leer into being very preppy

Obviously this kinda stuff depends on the physique of the person wearing the outfit in question but here goes:

How dumb of an outfit would a baseball shirt and capris be? I live in a place where the weather is pretty samey and I'd think that would be a practical outfit that I could wear more or less year round.

if you're really really beginning, focus on getting a good selection of simple basics. don't spend a whole lot of money on anything. when i first started getting into fashion 3 years ago, i spent a LOT of money on individual pieces. 100 dollars for a sweater that, now that i've explored more and become aware of what i actually like and what looks good on me, i can't stand and never wear. once you're further into this hobby, then spend more money on individual stuff. until then, stick to gap and uniqlo. also, don't worry about getting raw denim. that's a meme that's honestly dying out now.

Simple question: What are you guys' opinions on facial piercings? I've been thinking of maybe outfitting myself with a piercing on the right side of my nose, and eventually (if I like the nose piercing and the way it feels) some ring piercings on the upper lip of one of my ears.

I like the idea of having these items on my face, but I'm also wondering how to dress to acentuate them. Idk, just let me know if it's a dumb idea. I'm really on the fence about this.

Your thoughts are taken into consideration. I'd love some more thoughts though.

Once I quit this job I plan on delivering papers for a little while. Maybe sweeping some floors or cleaning dishes somewhere. I'd hope my piercing would leave me presentable, and perhaps a bit mysterious. Someone you'd want to ask about, or would remember for more than a few seconds when your first talk to them.

Mostly they trigger some inexplicable sense of revulsion and I try to extricate myself from a conversation with the individual as quickly and politely as possible.

Piercings that are always okay:
Ears (women)

Piercings that are generally okay in a certain aesthetic:
Nose (teenage women)
Bellybutton (teenage women/belly dancers)

If you live in a very liberal place you may be able to pull off ear/nose piercings in a bishōnen kind of way. /fit/ has an infographic for developing a trap body, follow the workout but not the diet (which is mostly bro science anyway) and you'll look like a prettyboy in no time at all.

ever notice how some people have awful form, but others just personally vary in the way they move their body/land/such? the reason there're so many running shoes is to fit different forms/styles of running, and having the wrong shoes can fuck you up far faster than running already does

So, I'm just gonna be frank.
I'm 18, and I work at urban outfitters and up until this point in my life i've had really shit dress, like ill-fitting jeans and t-shirts and that was it. Now that I have a job in a clothing store i like, I'd like to try and step up my dress. Any items/brands i should look out for, to cop there? I get a pretty nice discount, and any advice would be fantastic.

For reference I'm 6 foot and only weigh like 120 pounds, and I'm male, if all of that helps.

Don't just think of brands to look out for, as you said you used to (maybe still) wear "ill-fitting jeans." The ill-fitting is the problem. The first thing you should know before you worry about brands or style or anything is fit. The short run down is that tops with shoulder seams should have said seams at the point of the shoulder, sleeves going to the end of the wrist etc, and pants should be very slim and should be the right length. Try stuff on and take pics and post them somewhere to get specific help etc.

>> No.10815397

>>10814927
That is ideal advice yo. Those are great proportions to work with so the emphasis should be on keeping things tailored and to skim the body. A dead giveaway is that your trouser legs shouldn't be pooling around your ankles - a slight crease in the front, max. If you want to look at least slightly /fa you should have the bony part of your ankles exposed when you sit down. Beware the too-baggy "elephant bum"; your pants will naturally get baggier over time so don't size up.

And for shirts/sweaters/tops, don't be afraid of colour -- if colour annoys you it's best to start out with darker, saturated tones like burgundy, navy, chocolate brown etc. All men should have a tweed jacket at some point in their life but as you're 18 you probably don't want to be spending all your money on "investment pieces" yet. Fast fashion is fine BUT be really selective. If it feels wrong when you're trying it on, it probably is.

also, you probs already do this but get a Pinterest and start pinning stuff (streetwear, etc.) that speaks to you. It's surprising how little you know about your own taste until you see all of your inspo stacked up in one place.

I like the mixed material of the ames, but I do think the silver bezels make it a little too feminine Some one also pointed out that I have a more square face than the oval I thought I had and that rounded glasses might work.
