Everyone has their periods where they gain or lose weight in a bad way. Your body is always fluctuating, and stress or bad life situations can pack on a few pounds every once in a while. It'll happen to you someday, it happened to me, etc.

The best strategy isn't to tell her she's fat, though. Make it a couple's thing. Sign up for a gym together and begin going regularly. Begin cooking together. etc. It will make you both hotter and fix the issue.
