I love vodka but I always end up shitfaced doing stupid shit that I can't remember. I need something else to drink that isn't beer or whiskey because that's literally what everyone drinks around here and I'm sick of both.

Any recommended drinks that are simple? because most bartenders here are actually dumb bitches who can't make anything that has more than two ingredients.

Inebriation is not at all fashionable and you should never have more than a couple of drinks. There is no single most fashionable alcohol, it is dependent on setting and you should just avoid anything too elaborate, sweet, or colorful.

For the record though, I very rarely drink anything other than gin or bourbon. Gin is my go-to for public/casual settings, I drink bourbon when with other men in settings that are fitting for it.

Again though, there are alternatives. Don't like gin? vodka is fine. Don't like bourbon? you're just as well off with whiskey. It's about making reasonable choices and not being gross about it.

Also I don't drink wine for aversion reasons but wine is obviously totally fine, again in the right setting.

Depends on setting. Doesn't matter how fancy your drink is, doesn't matter how suave and sophisticated you think you sound ordering it, it's not /fa/ to drink something that looks entirely out of place.

With lunch, a nice cold beer. I personally go for Peroni, but that's down to personal taste. With an evening meal, wine. Red or white depending on the meat, never rosé. Drinking in a bar, a good single malt scotch. I prefer Laphroaig and other Islay stuff, but again, all down to personal taste. Drinking in a club, beer. They tend to serve anything else in a shitty plastic cup that collapses in your hand, and the smaller opening of a beer bottle makes it harder to spill when someone stands on your feet and a gang of drunk girls fall on top of you.
