10518078 No.10518078 [Reply] [Original]

So what's the deal with this place? They recently opened one up in Boston and six weeks later normies are still going nuts over Primark, still see so many people walking around or on the T with Primark bags.

They can't be good right? I mean, they manage to be even cheaper than H&M ffs. Is there anything there worth copping?

>> No.10518183

no one here has ever been to a Primark?

One of my friends at college went to the one in boston, but he dresses a bit like a normie. he said he got a few sweaters in particular. I only heard good things about the socks and basics

>> No.10518210

If you go to one in Europe you'll find 80% Muslims there (at least that's the case in Vienna&Berlin)

quality is the worst

>> No.10518281

primark is an uber-budget store. think like...dollar store clothing, except vaguely "family fashion" oriented.

if you want something specific and basic and you want to spend no money on it you can maybe go there

>> No.10518293

its a uk thing mainly, ultra cheap trash clothes unless you buy the most basic shit
good for cheap trousers to skate in and wouldnt bother with much else

>> No.10518530

The quality mostly ranges from awful to attrocious. Their shoes and belts are a joke, that shit is literally made out of plastic and cardboard. The belts split in two after a few weeks or even days.

I do like some of their underwear and socks: they fit well, look alright and seem to have decent durability, and none of you bitches can mess with my €1 scarf.

>>10518078
It's cheap and that is it. Makes H&M look upscale. But you can walk in with £50 and walk out with an entire wardrobe, if you want. I use it for buying cheap disposable t-shirts.

Got one close by me in Holland, as previously stated, filled with arab people and it's seen as a huge joke among semi wealthy people and up

You can find the occasional good piece in there. Mostly bad quality obviously. The socks are incredibly good value though and last fucking forever.

I bought a flannel lined denim jacket there recently for £19 (britfag obviously) and I'm pretty impressed tbh.

>> No.10518909

They do really cheap extra long tees which I guess are /fa/

>> No.10518962

Primark are everything that's wrong with the modern high street and modern clothes shopping. They're literally the antithesis of quality. Cheap, slave made rubbish that is made to be disposable. I've known people who would literally buy entire outfits from that place, then throw them away after a night and still have change from £30.

Horrible.

I don't think you've actually shopped at primark then. Honestly it just feels so cheap. No of course things don't literally slough off your body as you move or if they get a bit wet, but the construction is pretty appalling and besides when a design has got to the point of being produced by primark it has reached such peak cultural saturation that there would be no reason for you to want it if you have any legitimate interest in fashion whatsoever.

I did actually have a black primark tee and wore it in the rain. when it dried it was a COMPLETELY different shape, for real it had twisted and seriously shrunk up under the arms

Primark @ alexanderplatz was a fucking nightmare. i saw a bunch of people walking around berlin with primark bags so i figured id check it out since our hostel was right next to alexanderplatz and i had some time to kill but holy fuck was that a mistake. literally the worst quality clothing i have ever witnessed. 4 eurobucks for a sweatshirt. the thing had the worst stitches, shit material, shit cut and yet people were buying it like it was the single greatest thing of the decade. the store was PACKED. everyone pushed each other, people were fighting over t-shirts, people were fighting to go to the fitting rooms with like 20 t shirts in their hands. never again.

>> No.10519238

Pretty legit tbh.
I usually go there when I visit London.

>> No.10519435

The appeal of primark is the it's the cheapest fast fashion you can find and in recent years the response to current trends has been growing ever speedier.
Someone named a fluffy pink coat the must have item of the year? Primark has one out within a week or so.
One once you're closer than two feet away you realise the coat bobbled on the second wear and looks like it's made from felt.

The knitwear is all acrylic and half of the items feel like crepe paper you'd use at school for making Xmas decorations but if you want a trend item for peanut then it's where people go.

However I won't fault their tights for a specific demographic. As cheap as anything else from there but they are the best tights to buy if you're a short and slim woman because they actually fit well and they don't ladder easily for whatever reason.

Not literally fall apart but they start losing their shape, material starts peeling and getting holes, broken stitches etc

It's like Zara quality wise, but less fashionable. I went there once, in the outskirts of vienna at G3, to get some pajamas for a party and I saw that they had yeezus tour stuff. Not sure if they actually have the rights for that shit but I got it nonetheless.

Is it true about the socks? Ive always considered it because I always get holes in my socks after a month or so (even good ones) but decided against it.
