Buy any sulphate free shampoo and conditioner without tonnes of silicone. My go to-brand is Aveda, but it is expensive - Living Proof, Bumble and Bumble et al. are cheaper but still good. When you find a product you like, buy the biggest container you can find, since you'll be using a shitload of conditioner. On the plus side, you'll almost never run out of shampoo since you'll be using it at most once a week, preferably less.

Buy a jar of coconut oil and do a hot oil treatment to kick it all off then repeat whenever it poofs up/goes dull. There's guides for this, but essentially it's just heating oil in a waterbath, massaging it into your hair and scalp, letting it sit (for at least an hour - best effect is achieved by sleeping with it in ya hair. It feels good as hell massaging your scalp with the hot oil, so smoke a joint and relax or whatever floats your boat.

Any way, having properly moisturized hair will make all the difference in the world, once it gets some length it'll weigh itself down and look great.

Avoid heat, avoid sharp tools (get a hand carved wide toothed comb and detangle when you've got conditioner in - no brushing, unless you've got a real good brush (i.e. mason pearson).

After you've showered, distribute some moisturizer (either a product, like Aveda's Be Curly Curl-enhancer or Moisture Infusion, or just some plain argan oil.) and that's it, basically.

Yes, all that are good nutrients for hair. Don't forget avocado oil, whatever, any of that helps.

You don't need all of them and each one of them have different results I have only tested honey-thing myself. Never done it more than twice in my life but I should finish the bottle but I just forget about it.

The most important part of long hair is learning how to style it while it grows to a proper length to be called "longish" or "getting there", etc. Yours is still short.

Most of the things you need to know can be googled. It's not necesary to get the tips cut off every month, I do it each 3 months.

Kinda helps if it isn't growing out as pretty as you want or not as symmetrical. Usually the back part will always be longer than the rest and this can look imperfect when the back puffs out to the sides, so usually I like having the back part the same lenght as my sides, sometimes shorter because it grows faster.

Had it long for most of my life but cut it a lot shorter lately and my original routine was shampoo, conditioner and air dry. Dry shampoo and water on the days in between washes. No problems with texture or uncleanliness but less curls.

As mentioned before no shampoo has helped my curls come out and ive cut out dry shampoo also using cold water to "ruffle" it back after sleep. It seems to take longer drying or maybe im just imagining it?

Depends. How desperate are you to have hair like that? Enough to spend upwards of $150 on hair products? Then try Oribe (or-bay). It was a night and day difference to me. If you're on edge, a local salon should have hair products for you to experiment with for free.

Oh, of course. I have a lot of experience with Oribe after three salon visits and a couple hundred dollars out the ass.

You'll need a good shampoo and conditioner. It's the first step to achieving glorious hair.

I use the blue bottles, Shampoo and Intense Conditioner for Moisture and Control, as suggested by my stylist to keep my moderate thickness hair structured and from from frizzing while outside. You might want to use the Signature series as it is all purpose for all hair types.

Pomade shouldn't be used in long hair. A gel, cream or mousse would be better.

I use the Creme For Style to compliment the intense conditioner and shampoo, again to keep my hair under control. It doesn't work so much for styling as the name would suggest, but I guess that might be because of my hair type. And because I have to flat-iron my hair, I use the Gold Lust Nourishing Hair Oil product to protect my hair from the heat. It also adds more moisture (because I can't use enough of that stuff).

Finally, I use the Superfine Hair Spray. Unlike typical hair hold sprays (Bed Head, Tri, Super Sexy, etc), this spray is extremely light and thus doesn't weigh my hair down. Even better, it holds my hair without giving me a helmet head.

Apart from the products used, Depp's hair looks flat ironed and tussled, with added volume at the tips. You can do the same, but how it looks in the end depends on your natural hair type.

I usually use a flat iron every few days when my hair starts to curl. Hasn't caused me any noticeable problems. I've always used some sort of heat protection.

I have long but fine hair that I straighten. No matter what I do it's always "poofy" as fuck. If I use products to try to weigh it down it just gets greasy and gross, but still doesn't do much.

Also, the way you dry your hair naturally has a lot to do with how it looks. Try combing your hair back and putting on a hat of some kind as it dries.
