Here's my hair. It's very similar to yours texturally. This is one year of growth. I haven't shampooed in two years. Your hair will get clean from the water alone as long as you scrub good enough.. I even work out every day.

You can control texture through how vigorously you comb in the shower. No combing means dreadlocks. Excessive combing can cause frizziness. I'm somewhere in the middle.

I have very thick, wavy, and bushy hair. It's not so oily but not so dry either. Texture is like straw. Especially from behind it looks too puffy, makes my head big looking. We have very similar hair, both the colour and texture, except I'm a guy.

Personally I don't think the fringe is doing you any favours. Grow it out and part it at the centre. Keep the length at your shoulders or even grow it, but if you're waiting for the fringe to grow in it'd be best to leave it at the shoulders for now.

The hair looks a little dry and frizzy (another problem we share) so try treat it well and get it cut when you can without sacrificing the length too much.

All this is working on the assumption that you're a girl, which isn't a good place to have to start from. If you're a guy, I don't know what the fuck to do. But if you are a girl, which I assume you are, then growing your hair a bit and trying not to look so glum and dour is probably the best thing to do.

Yeah, as it grows it should take on more of a wave as opposed to a curl.

For frizz, its hard to say. Personally I find a trim to be the best cure in the short run, but this isn't always possible, with slow hair growth being a pain. A good shampoo/conditioner with no sulphates, parabens or silicates is a good start. Try not to overdo it though, shampoo every 2-3 days and follow it with conditioner. A small bit of leave-in, deep conditioner can help now and then, but for me it's never made a huge difference.

That's just what I do, its more than likely you'll have to find how best to do it yourself though. I realise when a routine doesn't produce immediate results there's the temptation to just try everything you can, but the best results will come about with a simple regimen and a bit of time and testing.
