I personally can't afford to buy $80+ merino wool shirts so I go with these H&M Quick dry shirts (they have both short and long sleeve) because I'm a poorfag pleb. They're a stretchy polyester material, they wick sweat away fine, and dry quickly. I wear normal cotton boxers for my regular day to day shit but if I'm backpacking or working out I wear under armor briefs. I wear darn tough socks during warmer months and during the colder months I go with these generic wool socks.

The shoes are comfortable but that's about it. I wouldn't go running in them. The main appeal of techwear (in my opinion) is aesthetic foremost and then performance. If we really cared about clothing holding up to abuse/elements then we'd all just wear hiking/sports gear all the time because it would probably be cheaper, and more purpose built. The fact that thechwear clothing wicks water away, or dries quickly, or keeps out wind and rain is secondary to the aesthetic.

With that being said I still mix and match tech and non-tech materials. I'm wearing a cotton sweater right now because it's comfortable, I like the way it looks and I'm indoors anyway.

Actually, I wouldn't get that if I were you. I bought a really similar parka from AI that was basically that model without the sleeve pocket (collab with UO) and was REALLY disappointed with the construction. The fabric isn't waterproof, windproof, or thermally insulating in the slightest so it's useless in winter weather unless layered over a sweatshirt. Imagine wearing a linen parka.

Also, the rivet snap on one of the front pockets came out in two weeks. It looks pretty cool, but honestly isn't worth it.
